interesting is that there's no names involved with this......

I would venture to say this computer graphics group may be part of it if you look at their logo on facebook - interesting use of font, background and the G and P in group or someone else who knows Adobe Illustrator.

Another interesting thing is that Mike Fuller (Mulsannemike) is a twitter follower - he was employed at the defunt us effort. Can't believe someone suggested Marco and Scott Speed for drivers, Danika (someone needs a spelling lesson!), Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Tommy Kendall (TransAM times) - this is going to be interesting to say the least.

The group is headed by Louis Cypher. I hear it's gonna be one hell of a racing team.

 

If this is legit, theoretically, they could purchase the equipment USF1 left behind at a discount and be decently set up (assuming it all hasn't been repo'ed or auctioned yet). Realistically, where else in the US could they be better set up than North Carolina? I really would like to see some US team actually have a go at it. I think US engineering is tops in the world when given freedom, and think we have all the resources to make something successful. In my opinion, all that is needed is someone with the brains, connections, and experience to head it up and it could work....my fingers are crossed.

Just doing some internet research...some sources believe this is a group of former USF1 employees who weren't please with how the team was run by KA and PW but still want to get a US team on the grid. I just hope they have the connections and/or resources to make this happen.

latest entry on the group's facebook page: There's something very shady about all of this. First off, the name - "Cypher" Group. That's a very interesting name that's full of interpretations. Is this the remnants of US F1? Is Ken Anderson involved in any way?
