When posting that image the only thing I observed was an LP500S in rare (& original) Argento/Blu livery.

However, now that yourself and others have drawn my attention to the passenger within the vehicle, I have noted that your description is accurate.

Original video is many years old and I hope owner has got hes carburators tuned by now.
Flames should be even, that is all pipes at same time.
Right front is way off and there should not be black smoke.

    Repost. But a good repost.

Problem is that will never see flames out of our Countach cars.............................................................................................................................................................................................................
Unless we let some else drive it.

    True...

I saw mine from pasanger seat of Diablo.
Constant fire, like four flamethrower, from all pipes and as soon as pedal is touched flames go away.
Color of flame was orange/white, blue/wihite at tip of exhaust and half meter behind flames get orange. Who need colortune plugs! :D

OK, nice to have detail information of this one.
I also notised the black smoke, but for my knowlegde, better to say nothing of that.
Just watched those pipes flaming and listen to that music.....

And the flames was the reason why I linked the video here; there isn't really many cars existing, which do this kind of activity, meaning road legal cars.
But anyway fantastic, this is one of the many reasons; why I love these cars.

Anyway; do I remember right, that only this LP5000S, (this was LP5000S was it?) will make the flames out, other Countaches has differenses carburator, engine and exhaust things, so thay won't do that?

I've been told by a female that "something is igniting" from my lp400s "muffler pipes".

Judging by the smoke under load, he has bigger problems than carbs.

My Urraco had hailine cracks in the 4 in 1 headers, when i let off the gas it would flame. Replaced with new headers and the flames ceased. It was cool while it lasted though

All carb Countach will emit flames upon overrun at high rpm if tuned optimally.

    OK, thanks Joe!
I think this is something really fantastic, just it is. Can't explain it more better.
Hopely! This summer, could hear Countach on the road, and that engine braking... Hopelly!

By the way Joe, can you tell me more about Claudio Zampolli?
I remember he is connected to Cizeta, but today he is more with Lamborghini's?
Just watched your website galleries Claudio doing some detail setuping Miura's engine, so I just assumed today he is working more with Lamborghini's than Cizeta's?

Today he works on an assortment of Italian cars, but where classic Lamborghinis are concerned, his specialty is making them run properly.

    Best,

A few questions about the Countach.

Is it easy to lower a LP400S S3 like the S1 and S2?

Can we remove the side skirt of a QV to make it look like a LP400 ?

I realized after reading about the Countach that I tend to prefer the LP400 S S1 with Bravo wheels ... but as we all know they are rare animals ...

    Cheers!

It is easy, just new springs and re mesure of suspension geometry, BUT!
You WILL lose parts, lowest parts in my car is around 8cm, next things hitting are gearbox and engine, just do not do it.

I can post pictures from stuff that where hit, if you like?

The lowest part on my QV is the belly. The front spoiler is about 15 cm. goodf or normal driving. I honestly have never had issues driving on normal roads, had a freind that had an Lp400S1 and he had boards in his trunk!

"wineyard tractors" I like that right tyre, 345's are just soo wide!

Since it is discused here; how much different ridehight are there? I mean, some cars seem to be higher then other. Is Qv higher then 5000S?

Mmmm kay!!! I thought it was suspension related because I had the impression there was a bigger gap on S3 a later car compared to LP400S S1 and S2.

If you take a look at some early LP400S wheels are clearly inside the wheel well. See pictures of Red S1 and Black S3.

I see, I would not like to set the car chassis too low for the obvious reasons put in evidence.

Yes! I would like to see some pictures!

    Thanks!

    Another Countach related question,

is it easy to find LP400S1 Bravo wheels?

Maybe owning a Countach aside a Diablo is growing on me!!! If I survive to my wife ...
