    For a 360 NGT 5000 km's:

    From the CD of Michelotto:

Before and after each race/test, the Michelotto engineer and the person charged by the Team will have to verify that the engine and its accessories can cover the kilometers of the next race/test without exceeding the expected maximum limit (5000 km for Endurance engine) and eventually they’ll have to schedule the replacement.

ps with an avarage speed of 120 km/hours this is about 35-40 hours

I would have thought that a 430C would have been far greater than that, especially based on the fact that it is a road car engine.

Depends if you want to race it or not. I rebuilt mine at about 75 hours and picked up about 30 bhp at the dyno. Bear in mind that's 75 hours of racing use - but it had clearly lost a little compression around the rings.

911 GT3-R does 30-35 hours between rebuilds and is also a road engine. You'll find few race cars that do as many hours as a 430CH does in race conditions. I'm sure it would go double that if run at 7/10ths. I never had to touch the gearbox on the 430CH, whereas the 911 GT3-R sequentials need rebuilding about every 24 hours.

If you use a road car engine for 5000 km's on a track it would need a rebuilt as well.
A 333SP (with basically a F50 engine) needs a rebuilt every 24 hours......And that will set you back 100-150 kUSD.
I think if you see how a race car is used on a track it is a wonder they will last for 40-60 hours.

    ciao

I believe the 2010 997 GT3 Cup car engines specify rebuild after 50 hours or after 8 seconds above 9,800rpm. :D
