In any case, politics should be on a politics board.

We don't have a thread about Saabs because this is a Ferrari board. We don't have a Brittney Spears board. We don't have a Heavy Metal thread. We don't have a Star Trek thread. Not because we're censoring people who like those things but because we're about Ferraris.

That's completely irrational. Saying that a Ferrari board should be about Ferraris has nothing to do with "group internment."

Let Ferrariads expire. After I purchased my car it was still listed for sale for quite a long time. Maybe allow the ads to run for a month and then the person who placed the ad will have to take an action to continue it.

P.S. I hope guys in the other model forums start picking up and contributing. This is gunna really add some PUNCH to F-Chat.

 

When I visit fchat with my mobile phone I get, after the page has finally loaded, "DST settings changed", and then all the loading starts again. If I visit after that with my PC the DST settings are changed (back?) again. Off course my phone and PC have the same time give or take 1 or 2 minutes.

 

Probably 3 months, and many folks don't delete. I like the idea of one month then out.

PS, there is a silver 550 for sale for 62K for which no one can contact the owner. Looks like a fake and it's been there a while.

Makes it real hard to fantasize if the dreamy cars with the dreamy prices are fake.

IIRC, we had that, but, it was redundant, as "somebody's name" covers all the bases.

 

Make a specific 430 section so that it doesn't tie in with 360 posts and vice versa.

I don't know if this has been covered, but a forum jump at the bottom of the thread would be a very handy tool for navigating threads, especially from an iPhone or other mobile device without a keyboard. Or even a link taking you back to an updated sub-forum list. Hope this helps!!! Thanks for caring about the wellness of the site!!!!

 

I would suggest a thread of the month vote. It would bring users to threads they normally don't look at. F-chat is getting so large & so many great threads are getting unread. It would be IMO a great way to showcase the richness of the community. How these threads get nominated would have to be worked out. I would assume the mods would do the initial nominations then members could throw in their nominations. Then there could be a Thread of the Month section in which you could archive the threads & final contenders for new users & current users to appreciate. If it becomes really popular you could have a F-chat Oscar's Night for the Thread of the Year. Members & Sponsors could throw in some prizes.

Rob already does threads of the month on the newsletter, so maybe an extension of that?

 

Rob would have to do a podcast for the Thread of the Year in a Tuxedo.
