The only thing I don't like is the name dropping by him. "so and so buy what car.. I go to his house on Malcolm road to pick up his car... Tim just bought Lambo for $xxxk, etc"

I stopped going to him unless I have to. It's been 7 mths and only once since he moved to the SPC from Esso Whitley Rd. But he does a good job.

Wow, u guys spent a few pages talking about a car wash!

I need those leaves outta my front vent!

Speaking of it, I'm thinking of opening a proper carwash cum waxing in Vietnam. Anyone interested? I've seen only one in the city centre & it has Bentley & several other high end SUVs in there. Maybe KL also can :D

I much prefer dealing with the Auntie. She is much nicer and more humane to have a conversation with. Having said that, I dont use that place unless really necessary.

FYI, the 996TT gearbox which was an older iteration of what you now have in the 997 is good for up to 800hp. The only additions needed are an external oil cooler. What is the weak link in the gearbox is the torque converter. However, I was running the 996TT at very high torque and hp levels and the gearbox was still fine, and this was after MP had thrashed the living daylights out of the car too...

Ken is getting the full Techart conversion done, and it does not require any change in the gearbox or torque converter... and the horsepower on that is very high too. As for clacking sounds.... thats not normal mate...

Alright boys, I have to admit as I spend very little time in this 997. Just realised that the crackling sound is from the exhaust box which goes away when I gas it. Somehow, after the tuning, the exhaust sounds better with a deeper & sportier tone. Let me take the route back to Sg & see how it performs on the NS.

But Harold, 800bhp? I'd be interested in the extra oil cooler, where can I have this added?

Guys, since we are still on the topic of car wash, do all of you wash the car when the engine is still hot? Isn't that sudden contraction bad for the block esp. when the engine cover is filled with open vents?

Uncle, don't laugh but I use shower curtain to cover engine when washing. It is also the electrics on these finicky italian cars that concern me. My neighbour thinks I'm nuts..

Jon, the exhaust crackling is normal when you release the accelerator after the tuning!

My cars also sounded better after the ECU was tuned! :)
