For me the best part of dining out in Buckhead on a Saturday is that you will always get a chance to see a exotic car. The fun part is not knowing how many. Today was filled with old classic cars and some new modern ones that I have never observed in the area. Here are my spots.....

    1. Delorean (not in Buckhead)
    2. Lamborghini Countach QV
    3. Lotus Europa
    4. Avanti
    5. Ferrari 599 GTB - Florida temp tags
    6. Lamborghini Murcielago
    7. Lamborghini Gallardo
    8. Lamborgini Gallardo roadster (silver) no photo
    9. Ferrari 360 spider (red)
    10. Ferrari 360 spider (silver) no photo
    11. Porsche GT3
    12. Ferrari F430 spider (yellow) no photo
    13. Ducati 1098 S
    14. Audi R8 silver

Today my girlfriend and I decided to go out for lunch at the Longhorn off of Piedmont. On the way there we observed the oldest cat I have ever seen on the street. An 83 year old car (1927) that appeared to be in mint condition. This car had wooden wheels driving down West Paces Ferry.
The second unique car was a 63 year old car (1947) driving dowm Peachtree. What a treat to view these two classic cars. What made it even better was the next few spots shows how far the Automobile has come. The next vehicle was a green Lamborghini Gallardo SE that sounded fierce. If not for the exhaust note heard from several blocks away we would of missed her.
The third car was a Porsche 997 GT2 parked at Fellini's sitting all by herself. And the last spot was found as we were exiting the restaurant. It was a Porsche Carrera GT driven by the singer "Usher". I did not have my camera with me however I did take a shot using my IPhone to catch a small glimpse.

Cool shots of the old cars, West. There definitely aren't very many convertibles that are made these days that can haul 6 people!

With the pollen out in force and the night temp around 62 degrees I was thinking the exotics would stay in the garage. But thankfully I was wrong, a nice showing of a red California with Virginia temp tags (FoW) being the highlight. Several cars escaping my camera include a yellow 355 spider, a black Lamborghini Gallardo coupe, and a red Ferrari 308 GTS. Seven cars in total.

I spotted thirteen exotics today. It's the second straight week that I captured a vintage car. This one was a 1941 Cadillac Series 62 convertible (69 years old) that looked to be brand new with Texas tags. What a huge luxury car it was. It was great to see it parked at Bricktops.
The red California from yesterday was observed again at Intercontinental. I did not take another photo so I will use a different angle from yesterday photos. A second California today was seen at Chops Valet. It was a dark gray....my first spotting of this color. Here are the rest of my spots,

    1.Red Ferrari F430 Scuderia
    2.Dark Red Ferrari 355 GTS
    3.White Porsche 997 GT3
    4.Silver Ferrari F430 spider
    5.White Ferrari F430 spider
    6.Black Lamborghini Murcielago
    7.Yellow Ferrari F430 spider
    8.Yellow Lamborghini Gallardo
    9.Yellow Ferrari 360 Modena-no photo
    10.Red Ferrari California
    11.Dark Gray Ferrari California
12.Dark Red Lamborghini Gallardo roadster-no photo
    13. Pale Gray Audi R8-no photo

I spotted a black SL 65 black series in the general parking lot across from Macy's. This is the first one I have seen aside from pictures and let me tell ya, those vents and fender arches are huge. Wish I could've stayed to hear it fire up but I was late to a meeting and had to leave. I called you guys up (Andrew and Doug) and left a voicemail about the car, sorry got no texting plan and that was the only way to notify you guys. Hope you guys ran across it while it was out today. Here are some pics from the camera phone.

Thanks for the call, for some reason my phone never rang but I got the message. I was stuck at work and there was no way I could get away to go see this beast. Nice pictures, I hope it stays around for a few days so we can all see it!

Thanks for the call, Purvil - I can't believe you don't text! :) I, too, was at work and I would've skipped out for something really nuts (F40, etc.) but a Black Series isn't quite worth using the "emergency" excuse. Still, it's an amazing spot - undoubtedly the same one (Florida tags) that West saw last summer at Hal's.

A few recent spots from me, including a pair of Lamborghinis, can be found here.

I went to Motorcars yesterday and saw a large number of Astons. They told me FoA lost the Aston Martin chain and motorcars won them in a bid against other dealers.

I don't know that "Lost" is the right word to describe what happened.

Care to explain a little more for those that aren't connected? I remember years ago that Maserati wasn't too happy that FOA was an Aston dealer.

I just chatted briefly when I entered and saw an extensive number of them and he told me FoA was no longer holding the Aston chain and if i'm not mistaken (don't take this 100% accurate), they bidded them off to a number of dealerships and LoA won them. Feel free to ask them because I'm not 100% sure. Cheers!

I heard that Aston Martin stipulated FoA had to build a new service facility specifically for AM....somewhere in the $2-3 million range in order to continue to carry the brand. FoA said "no thanks".

This is why I said "lost" was not really the right word to use. I think Motorcars of GA will do a great job with Aston Martin and now FOA can go all Italian.

not aston. it was F that didn't want aston in the same building. they don't have a stand alone location now and share with lambo and whatever other stuff is in the showroom.

Why'd they pick on FoA? Foreign Cars Italia, Ferrari of Denver, and superstar dealer The Collection all have showrooms which are inexclusive to Ferrari. I'm sure others do too.
