The first Grifo 90 was never drivable,so there is one difference, but why is this not a "real" Grifo 90?

Yea it is a shame that even in the most fashionable Italian clothing you still can't hide a fat ass.

The original Grifo 90 was never a drivable car. It was a one off for design review. A Iso enthusiast with the consent and help of Piero Rivolta made this possible. A small run of the cars are being made using a corvette chassis and carbon fiber body. From what I understand the Corvette interior will be stripped out and a new Iso interior will be installed. I assume Roberto Negri who is currently building a short run of Iso A3C's will help in this project.

what Im saying is its not the original prototype as evidenced by some body changes and small details. But Im fine with a replica being made. The Grifo 90 design is a great one.
It just isnt the original prototype, which is what seems to have been implied.

Yes, from what I understand more are in the works. I originally heard 5, but when you see the badge it looks like there could be more.

I find myself quite mesmerized by it. Where can I find more info about the planned production run?

Roberto and Federico Negri of Clusone (Bergamo-Italy). They have a restoration shop there.

Not Iso's best and they have had some of the best. Iso A3C (bizzarrini) Iso Grifo, Iso Rivolta all classic designs that hold up today. For the small amount of cars they built the Iso company has to have one of the best design percentages of any car company.

This car the Grifo 90 is based on a undeveloped design study. IMO if this car would have made it to production there would have been many changes made. If you go back and look at early drawings of many of the classic cars we cherish the early drawings are often not as appealing.

Nice to see someone step up and finish this project.

Certainly agree that it is nice to see someone step up to the plate, but I can't quite see this being anything but a stillborn.

Gandini at the time wasn't producing his best work to begin with, and the marriage between the Iso project and the Corvette isn't a happy one from a styling point of view either. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It'll probably sell well as a kit to the Corvette crowd.

Well........ here is the prancing horses's entry during the same time frame, I've seen better designs. Not sure the cheese cutter looks will hold up over time.

I seem to be in the minority for liking the design (IMHO better thatn the real Grifo 90 concept), but if I´ve understood the price correctly (200K!!!), it will be a hard sell..
