Anyone heard from Goobs and Simon. Been keeping an eye on results and can't seem to find them. They finished the prologue yesterday. They seem to be a bit slow in updating the results on the internet.

Looks like the weather caused a few delays and a few cars have come to grief. Fortunately the drivers/navigators are OK.

OK, so it looks like they may have missed the first stage??? Either that or the website is slow to update. Finished all the other stages and did very well on TS8. Well done guys. :)

    TS2&3 didn't run.

So the site is now showing the boys have completed all stages. The boys are doing well. Currently sitting in 3rd in catergory and 2nd in class. :)

This is the current standings unless of course they are still finalising things. Bloody hopeless, still at this time of night saying NOT VALIDATED.

You'd think with technology nowdays that each stage should be finalised and validated on completion of the stage or shortly thereafter at worst case.

If you can run consistently in the top 30 at this early stage you are doing ok. As the days roll by you go up the board as the people in front of you crash out or experience mechanical failures.
I am guessing the weather is dry at the moment. When it gets wet the high powered 4WD things will dominate.

I reckon it's pretty brave doing Targa in a 360 Challenge as IMO it's not well suited to the roads or conditions. At times I think it would be downright terrifying in a 360C, particularly high speed crests and dips. Gives me a chill just thinking about it.

You've been there so can comment. I am assuming TS8 yesterday was a fast flowing stage. The boys finsihed in 19th in that stage. I suspect the Ferrari really shows its strengths in those conditions. The tight twisty stuff isn't really their cup of tea I suspect.

    Good news just in.

Goober rang to say that he came 23rd overall, 3rd in Catetory and 1st in class.

He also said to say that whoever said it couldn't be done in a 360Ch is an idiot.....the car was fantastic.

Nobody said it couldn't be done. I certainly said it was quite unsuited to the conditions, which it is. I wonder how the F1/clutch finished up after 50+ max launches off the line?

    errrrrrrrrr....yes they did.

    as for the clutch...no probs.

that's three road rallies without any problems now. Once he sorted out you know who's stupidity re the alternator, he hasn't had a problem.
