Has anyone been to a drivers ed event at an east coast track that required nomex for drivers in all classes except for novice or "touring?"

FOW, when it still ran events, only required nomex in race prepared cars. As far as I know, no PCA events require nomex, except possibly for the top running group.

    Thanks.

Been with SCDA, Trackdaze and CART. Never mentioned as being required. Though you can never be too safe.

Here are the FCA guidelines along with Tech Forms.

Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for. I appears that FCA may be the only club requiring nomex and a fire extinguisher for all run groups other than touring, which I believe is restricted speed.

As an FCA member, the rules do seem a bit tigher, but hard to argue with safety. However I think our club just has more laywers than the other clubs!
