Can someone explain me why ferrari invented Plastic-looking Carbon fiber ?? I find it retarded.

IIf I had to buy one, I will request Ferrari to replace that crap with some Real Black Carbon fiber with big waves.

 

The pictures looks great! Especially when the shot the tires, it looks like it's a brand new tire from Michelin called "Pilot Super Sports." I want those tires on my 599!!!

 

I was glad to see the pilot super sports on there, I loved the sport cups on my GT3. However the wheels on the GTO are wider both front and rear than the regular car, so won't necessarily fit on a 599.

Haven't decided yet - white with a blue stripe looks pretty cool, but then so is red with the matt black roof. Getting my 458 in white, so perhaps its time for a change after 2 white cars in a row.

Is the diffuser plastic? Is it coated with plastic?

Happy to give you credit for the "plastic" line. But what is the answer? Is it carbon that is coated with plastic, it is painted, what makes it look so fugly? AND CHEAP!

 

That's CF, painted in Anthracit grey. Two people told me it looks better in real. I had to look very closely to see the waves on the pics.

 

It is just a matt finish instead of the more usual gloss finish........the underlying carbon fibre is the same as used in other models. You can specify a gloss finish at Atelier, but according to Ferrari this is a more 'race oriented' look.

 

I find it a Puke-oriented look.

But since I won't order one, no matter what I think.

 

It works well in person, esp along with the matt finished two tone exterior and "tech" fabric that is offered on the interior.

 

I doubt those are CF parts, part of the Green initiative is recycling and you don't recycle CF.....those are regurgitated water bottles, scooped up from floating trash masses in the Oceans circling the Globe...

I can't wait to see a picture of the 250 GTO, 288 GTO and 599 GTO side by side!

 

Basically this was theme behind the world premier held in Modena two weeks ago. A 250 GTO with a 288 GTO next to it. Then, the 599 GTO was presented.

They were all beautiful with the first two absolutely "classic"--though now every time I see a 288, I'm even more impressed with its timelessness.

 

For those of us (myself included) who believe that the 599GTO will never be a classic like the 250 and 288:
Imagine how fans reacted when Ferrari presented the 288 in 1984 as a successor to the 250. They could barely contain their laughter...25 years later, some of us are trying hard to buy one and keep chasing the price up!
