    yeah ... ES --- i totally agree ...

HSM --- there's a dang good reason for losing the dealership after >20 years mate ... one wld hv thot they wld hv learnt from this debacle ...

& look at their record after taking the dealership for the Riva brand of yachts ... they r displaying the same level of arrogance, if not higher, that they had when they were selling fcars ...

as a result, they hv not sold a single Riva here to date ...

hell they're not even particularly interested in showing u the boat !!!

perhaps their treatment of customers like u is different than for non-customers like me ...

& i went to see the riva ... they were not interested in showing me the boat. they behaved as if they had a chunk of freaking moon rock !!! & this is when the 2 fellas involved knew me.

i really don't care either way. if they get the dealership, i'll just wait for the next lambo. i'm not going to hsm.

The reality is no matter who gets the franchise there will still be a problem on the delivery as demand will out strip supply.

I would say go with standard brakes and upgrade later if u're confident of getting ur 458 soon. If not just upgrade to CCB and track the buggy.

Then again, the tire-shredder is always another viable alternative for the track :)

Hmmm....met with them twice. Once with their Riva principal also. They offered to show their new 80 and 115 down in Monaco, with all transfers arranged between there and sgp. But Riva pricing...like F car amongst automobiles

Hmmm I might have found the problem but fingers crossed. Realised that the factory recommended tyre pressure is way too hard. Not sure if the TPM? (tyre pressure monitor) in your Ferraris are accurate. But mine always show 4psi lower than what I actually pumped whether cold or hot. I pumped 40 front & 44 rear for highspeed runs as recommended but has been too hard. I didn't want to put too little or the tyres will run too hot & chance of fouling. I lowered 4 psi then went for a spirited drive & the ride immediately became "friendlier". It's much more supple & predictable. Very strange, never had such sensitive issues with tyre pressures on my other cars.

I do lower at least 4-8psi for trackdays & it always screws up the TPM. Running street pressure sends the car sliding after 2 laps.

Dude, I vaguely remembered that you were looking for a new set of rotors just very recently & that was the 1st set!

Come'on 4 sets of pads & two rotors in how many trackdays? How many rounds combined? This is not right or maybe Fong is a better person to answer.

Isn't your Scud rims lighter than your HRE? You've saved several pounds there.

Your spider also has a penalty on weight but still, going through so many pads etc doesn't make sense. If you don't mind sharing what are the avg lap times & how you braked? Don't get me wrong but I don't remember seeing any convertibles hitting top 5 in any tests/race so maybe you'd want to take it easier.

Buying a set of CCBs off internet & fitted locally will save you a fair bit. Look for Ricambi, Eurospares or UK's Maranello Concessonaire. But my hunch is how much longer can the car hold up. Was told by an old workshop guy that the wear & tear of every track mile equals to 5 street miles.

Otherwise, fit a regular set. Sell the buggy or keep it for B roads & buy a proper trackcar.
