mate, it's not so much kissing arse ... it's common courtesy and decency that they lack. in any business, u cannot treat a potential customer like garbage ...
absolutely mate ... & there is no reason to rub anyone the wrong way. mel has it down to an art form ... dang, i was a diehard porker fella ... he converted me ... no regrets.
First time tracking the lunch box, first time tracking 4wd, first time tracking turbo mate.... this is going to be a massive learning curve- what has me particularly spooked is the turbo lag and the weak brakes (ordered AP Racing 6 pots front and 4 pot rear but will only arrive June- the current brakes really are nothing on the Porker brakes, but I suspect are at least more reliable than Dereks )!!! What day are you going down. Chris and I will head down around lunchtime Friday, Jackson will probably go around 5pm Friday.
Hahahahaha I'll be skiving off to the workshops. Worst employee of the month I foresee. That's just daft. Do they expect the customers to be so hard-up that they'll endure all the cowpat they're given? Why not? Surely you'd enjoy the leather seats, the air-conditioning. Maybe even the badge?
sorry ... one more thing ... at the point in time when i asked to see the riva 56, my 3rd tub in 2 years had just arrived on the same dang ship as theirs ... all they had to do was get their head out of the sand ... i had heard & read a lot of good things abt the riva ... but i guess **** happens ... in retrospect, was i a serious, potential customer? i guess they will SEE the answer to that one in less than 5 months ...
thanks bud, absolutely mate..... intend on being able to drive it back. Heck the anticipations is killing me....
Mate, met a really nice guy a couple of weeks ago. He was in for the boat show. Turned out that aside from being a Porsche nut (owns a 964RS back in Europe), he not only established Jebsen's Hong Kong and China Porsche business, but now heads up Jebsen's marine division in Hong Kong.... I figure if you want a Riva next time once you are tired of your new beast (i give you a year tops) but dont want to go the local route you could always buy from the Hong Kong guys next time...
mate, it's always abt the individual who will be in your face day after day ... besides, riva will NOT sell one here thru their HK dealer ... well, perhaps i can get one, but not generally done. same thing with that 3 pointer ... i hv a couple of real beauties back in india ... one's a designated classic & has won the concourse de elegance that i entered it in ... but i really don't a flying f*** abt the local dealer ... will i be upgrading? hell yeah ... in a year ... ??? probably ...
