I once saw a 400i replica based on a Denbeigh Super-Chauvinist....shame to destroy an "S-C" like that, don't you think, old boy?

    Agreed.

Just last month I saw a poor Audi Super 90 give its life to become a Checker Marathon!!!!

    When will the madness stop?

A Checker Marathon is a very cool vehicle! It'd be nice to kill 5 TR's for a mid-engined, 60-cylinder Marathon. Bit of work to do belts and valves, but....

I don't think it would stay on the 'vette frame if I were to buy one of these. First, the core body would need to be from a Triumph TR7/TR8 to get the windshield/wing windows to look more the part. Then, I think I would utilize C-4 suspension, although the C-5/C-6 stuff would definitely be cool. Only I think the C-5/C-6 stuff is even wider than the C-4, and I know the C-4 suspension can be successfully narrowed.

Anyway, tie it all together with a good dose of tube and then you have the problem of an engine. Since I wouldn't be using Ferrari emblems, a V-12 wouldn't be necessary, though it would definitely be sweet. BMW or Jaguar V-12 maybe? If not, perhaps an LS motor would be nice, or a Ford Modular. In any case, it would have to be backed by a nice 6-speed manual.

Ah well, like I need another project!

    Shiny Side Up!
    Bill

NO ONE is going to park a real GTO (or any other $10M car) on a public street in LA.........with no security or protection.

It is a Datsun Z kit, with a BMW v12 in it. The guy lives in Hermosa Beach and parks it outside his house.

    Guys, guys,

The thread is a Crappy Replicas thread.....?
    OK
I clicked on it to see, A "CRAPPY" Replica.
    I am disappointed.
(If I wanted to see a Perfect Lambo or a Nice Ferrari, I would go in my garage.)
I want the 5 min of my life back.

    Have a nice Monday,
    Edwardo
