No. The manual release for the trunk is above the clutch pedal in the cockpit.

Every time you pull that cord either:

    1. an angel gets his wings, or
    2. someone in a small 3rd world nation dies...

    Just cannot recall which

    :D :D

    Jedi

    - just being a yukster - my 328 lacks this feature :D

Check your butt. I heard of guy who pulled that cord and his butt fell off. Had a hell of time getting it back on. Maybe just a rumor, but you can't be sure about anything these days.

Is it a pull cord or a hook to maybe fasten a bra?

Seriously.... it's a quick wheel release, obvioulsy this one didn;t eject the wheel properly - take it on a fast winding road and see if you can shake it loose.

Marco, pull it harder. I thought the front bonnet release was under the dash, and that the rear deck lid release is under the gas cap cover. That pull might be the manual gas cap cover release.

It's for people who lock the car and their keys in the bonnet/trunk. Is that even possible?

Now you need to give it a good pull and see if the bonnet opens.
