I washed the car the other day. While I was washing the wheels I saw a pull cord in the front wheel well on the passenger side. Anybody knows what that pull cord is for ??? I pulled the cord slightly but nothing happend. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Every time you pull that cord either: 1. an angel gets his wings, or 2. someone in a small 3rd world nation dies... Just cannot recall which Jedi - just being a yukster - my 328 lacks this feature
Check your butt. I heard of guy who pulled that cord and his butt fell off. Had a hell of time getting it back on. Maybe just a rumor, but you can't be sure about anything these days.
Seriously.... it's a quick wheel release, obvioulsy this one didn;t eject the wheel properly - take it on a fast winding road and see if you can shake it loose.
Marco, pull it harder. I thought the front bonnet release was under the dash, and that the rear deck lid release is under the gas cap cover. That pull might be the manual gas cap cover release.
#45. in the little inset drawing on the lower left. http://www.ricambiamerica.com/parts_catalogs.php?V=diag&I=628 Don't be confused wit the way the picture is drawn. The circled "A" thing is under the dash, despite how wonky the picture is.
Thanks for your help Daniel !!! I didn't know that there are two front bonnet releases. I don't thing this shows up in the car manual neither. We had comedy night last comedy night in the 360/430 section. Specially those guys from Australia seem to be very funny.........
.... on a brighter note, we hope to see you up in Winston Salem on the 16th for the Ricambi Rally and F1 viewing. Good driving, good friends, great prizes.
