after collecting watches for over 30 years I have RARELY lost any $$$ on the buying and selling of authentic watches and of course best of all I have never been put in the uncomfortable/embarrassing position of explaining what I'm wearing or have to justify why I'm wearing it. I could care less what a person wears but if this person is triing to pass it off as an authentic item, that's where I draw the line and most of all It's just plain sad and does tell alot about that person!!!

For $300 you could put together a vintage Daytona that would fool almost anyone.

I think that is the general consensus here. I don't see anything wrong with wearing one, but when I do wear my fake one, I always tell what it really is.

This all does not sit right with me some how. A dude steps out of his, lets say F430 spider dressed sharp in a Armani designer suit. He has a mega expensive timepiece on his wrist, that some watch connoisseur notices. The guys then asks to have a look at this wonderful creation. The owner then admits its a counterfeit fake????? Man that's some front :D Is the suit real mate?:D

I had an interesting moment in a meeting yesterday...one of my clients and I were talking about a new product and as he was admiring my Panerai rep, he pulled out his authenic Panerai and started talking price. Knowing I can't hold a candle to his bank account, I quickly informed him mine was an "homage piece" which he admired...we proceeded immediately to log in to watcheden and we purchased one for him to wear. I bought it for him as a gift.

A "homage piece"? Interesting description, i have never heard a counterfeit described as that before. But to be fair i never have had anything to do with them. Interesting thread.

That is a cool story, he must have been slightly impressed if he wanted one.

DonJuan348, I'm not sure if Watcheden sells ones of this quality, but they do have some that cost over $350, and when looking at the pics compared to a real one, I can't see any difference. The Deepsea is the one I'm thinking of.

Well I headed to the Post Office today and picked up my Breitling replica, I'll have to snap some pictures of it. It looks to be amazing quality and comparing it to a real one, it would be nearly impossible to tell the difference. Mechanically speaking, there are some oddities to it that I want to look into. Overall though, I'm extremely happy with the watch, I just need to have it properly sized and I'll be good to go! Pictures to come tomorrow when I have some more time!

    1. Join some of the replica forums mentioned in this thread.
    2. Buy from the recommended dealers listed there after reading some of the feedback.

part of me is sad that the replica watches are getting soooo...but part of me is very pleased you all are seemingly having lots of fun w/o regret.

can any of you post the display boxes these watches come with? i must say that with the watcheden quality being apparently so high...it makes me afraid to buy an "authentic" watch online for fear of ending up with a replica.

please post a pic of the display cases...i am curious if they are made to rplicate the original too?
