456 no doubt, far more convenient as a DD than the Vette as you can put kids in the back and as plenty of power when you need it. Also, it's a classic shape that has aged very well considering is was released in 1992... Many folks thinks it's still in the current Ferrari line up which is a testament to the original design... Look up a 1992 ZR 1 and see if you feel the same way!

The 456 wouldbe nice...but the 456 + maintenance would equal the same amount as a ZR1.

Actually, you'd probably go with one 456, and then use the difference to service the car.

    I'd take a Honda over a 456. Bleh.

A "Honda" wasn't part of the deal...The 456 has a timeless design, and although the technology and interior might be becoming a little dated, the overall concept can hold its own. It is no 612, but the price range is incomparable.

Furthermore, the last I checked, Honda wasn't (or hasn't) produced (for the consumer market) any 12 cylinder vehicle (each displacing 456cc's). Nor did Honda win anything like the 5.5 L V12 which won the "over 4 liter" class of the International Engine of the Year award for 2000 and 2001.

Keep your Honda; I'll take a 456M any day of the week!

Oh, and Honda hasn't held a candle to Ferrari's record in F1. But then, I guess the "Honda" comment was merely a facetious one...let's get back to comparing Apples and Apples.

    lemme qualify my OPINION here.
Im not so sure that the 456 is a better DD than the ZR1. Frankly the Z Rides better than my 456m AND handles better. Thats what I find interesting about the Z- so supple around town yet very good in the curves. Of course if the back seat this needed, then 456 is the only choice.
Lookswise the 456 is a classic beauty. One of Pinifarinas best!
