There is a fair amount within this thread that answers your question. Also if you type in "Wolf Countach" there is more out there. Also, check in places such as www.lamborghiniregistry.com
Hi Joe Yes I believe this is "The Car"! Here's some pics of another down under Countach. This one was at the recent Ferrari Club Concours in Melbourne.... Had a long chat with the owner on the day, he told me it came with the rear wing but he took it off as had rear view/visibility problems! Peter: Thanks so much for sharing these fantastic images. Unfortunately, this is not the car. I have already identified the P400S I am looking for. The car you have shown is actually an LP500S, chassis number 12576 in fact, a Countach that was delivered new in 1983 via Emblem Sports Cars in Poole, Dorset, UK. When it lived in England until about 6 or 7 years ago, it wore the registration ELN 238 Y, but you might be surprised to learn that it was finished in an original one-off peach color. The Tabacco interior you see there is original. A unique Countach.

Peter: Sorry I didn't read your post carefully. We are on the same page about the LP400S and you know that the LP500S is another. Cheers.
Hi Joe No worries. Your knowledge on these cars is staggering sometimes mate! Many years ago when I was a young apprentice I worked on and drove an early red LP400 "Periscope" roof car. This was the first Countach I ever saw.....fell in love and have been ever since..LOL! I recently found all the photo's of the car from the time and took them to the local photo place and had them scanned onto disc.I then loaded them onto my PC. I tried to upload them to post them here for you guys, but keep getting an error message about "missing security tokens and to contact an administrator"....any ideas as I'm not a computer geek? I hoped to be able to post the pics.as I wanted to share them with you guys, Cheers Pete
Here you go. What year was this? The Countach has split-rims. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
One more. Thats 1120206, featured in the March 1977 issue of Modern Motor magazine, still in Australia. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Raymond, they are aftermarket based on a mold of a rear Sillouette rim, they are 16in diameter - several Urracos in Australia also had them. They were manufactured by the then local Lambo Distributor.
They are the same wheels I believe the same set sold O/S when the owner put on the original wheels on the car. Here's another pic... and a brain teaser for Joe, Photo of RHD LP400 'upgraded" to S spec, with Lolita wheels (as they were called) including removal of periscope roof ( yes I know - sacrilege!!!). Joe, any idea of this chassis number? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I want to say that's the famed 1120272 in one of its many guises. But, it could easily be 244, 260 or 278!
For the real European amateur : Here is VIN #HLA12027 for sale in Belgium by its 1st owner : http://fr.autoscout24.be/Details.aspx?id=174559638&asrc=fa low proven mileage 13.113 km, very good shape, has just been serviced & 2 new brake master cylinders. Ciao, Olivier - LCB
After looking at this thread over an over, do I like the Countach better then my Diablo? It's a hard call..................I better go out and buy a Countach and have both............the Countach was the first car that ever sent a chill up my spine................I need one!
+1 I love em both, what put me in a countach was the slightly larger foot pedal area. The Diablo was to close for comfort for me, which in my head I wanted the Countach all along anyway. I'm WOW'ED by all Lambo's, but the C/T and Diablo stop me in my tracks.
The only Diablo that I liked as well or more so than a Countach was the SE30...if you own a standard Diablo, you'll love a Countach... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Its not 272, this car has always been silver and had a flat roof replacement not open top - must be one of the others! I will try to find out and post when I know. This S2 countach sent a shiver down my spine when I first saw it circa 1981 - silver with blue inside, now red with crema wing added and in New Zealand.
