Well, I've had my Ferrari for 24 hours now (2002 Rosso Corsa 360) and I've driven about 100 miles. Perhaps it's just because I'm not used to it but driving around town makes you feel like a rock star. Everyone's turning heads to look at you, many people give thumbs up, one guy at a stoplight started clapping, guys motion with their hand out the window for me to pull up at a stoplight, and at lunch I pulled into the local juicy burger and several people got up from their tables to go out the door to check out the car. Even the guy behind the register goes out to see the car. They all ask one question "what year is that" follow by "is that a Porsche?" um, no. Then I hear one guy at the burger joint say to his wife "That's a Ferrari" then he comes over to me and says "What year is that" followed by "Nobody makes cars like the Italians do" so I figure this guy must be a car enthusiast who knows his Ferraris. Then he says "That's a Testarossa, right?" Oh well, at least he didn't think it was a Porsche. LOL. One other observation, man that car really heats up the garage when you come back in from a drive.

Glad to be part of the club,
    Doug

Know exactly what you mean. Several waves, thumbs up, and honks tonight and that was just in a 5 mile ride. It's interesting to me how people ask what year but are clueless when it comes to the model. Oh well, most of these cars would pass for a 2010 anyway.

You should live in Vegas.... then you see what attention an F car brings!

Congratulations on the car. I'm sure you'll love it.

BTW: Write us when you get your first "flash"... Oh, get that cell camera ready because we want PICS!

No different downunder mate.....people out with cameras taking movies, honks, thumbs up, everyone looks as a 430 is relatively rare in Oz, petrol station filling up is absolutely huge with the response incredibly positive...plenty of other things too many to mention.

Can't buy that kudos with anything else IMHO.

whenever i go to costco to fill my tires with nitrogen, the service techs line up to check out the car. usually one of the techs will pull out his cell phone to take a photo. i generally ask any photo seekers if they would like to sit in the car and have me take their photo.

Agreed and I apologize for mine.

Have any of you guys ever been approached by an over enthusiastic admirer of your car? What did you do?

Let's not forget the number of IDIOTS in inferior cars who want to race .

When guys ask me to race, I say why. Your car want to grow up and be a Ferrari.

I had an idiot tell me "sweet mustang" at a stop light the other day.

I didn't even know how to respond.

I BY FAR get more looks from young kids than anything else. They always yell and scream at the car, and their parents seem to try their hardest to not pay attention.

I have both an f430 coupe and a gallardo spider. If you think you get looks in a Ferrari, you should take a spin in my gallardo. There is no comparison. While people love the f-car, they go crazy when they see the lambo.

These are good problems to have.

I'm really happy you're enjoying your car and all the attention.

You should bring your car to Santana Row this morning. A bunch of us gather in the lot two down from the valet lot around 10am.

Could be worse. They could have thought you were driving a new Corvette.

If we didn't want the attention, we wouldnt have bought Ferraris! got my pic taken over 30 times in about 3 minutes driving down Rodeo in Beverly Hills... But, us guys have to spend over $100,000 for that kind of attention, whereas a lady just needs to spend about $6,000 on a nice set of boobs to get equal attention...That is my argument against women needing to be paid equally...

Last week, I had a group of ~20 young kids on a school field trip crossing the street in front of me and one of them stoped and screamed, "Wow! Check out the Camaro!!!". I was in my F430...

I dunno. I went to the doc about implants and I think the surgery would hurt a little too much.

The pics are on the thread "Finally the wait is over" However, I'll have to see about getting more. Been having too much fun driving around. Now I'm waiting for the fallout as friends and people in the neighborhood know about my new car. Most are astonished and happy for me but I know that some probably think differently about me. I guess we'll see.
