Because I am tarred with the same brush as some of these wan**ers if I get stopped. Just like we are all affected as a result of the street racers who killed drivers (resulting in the 50km law). The actions of a few have spoiled the fun for many of us over the past few years. Unlike in the past, I expect zero tolerance now if I get stopped, not a lot of fun driving on our highways then is it?

What law did this guy break? And why werent the Gumballers coming onto Yorkville Avenue doing burnouts arrested along with him? And the Gumballer driving and talking on his cell phone? WTF? Is this a quota thing?

Don't really remember, not that late though... the crowd was elsewhere probably harassing the Veyron lol.

According to Brendon's Facebook, they most definitely were.

I heard people were going around and stealing license plates off of the cars, as well.

    How disgusting is that?

Not to mention the morons who were touching the cars and posing with them, or WRITING on the body due to the car's being dirty. Absolutely ludicrous. If I was the owner, I'd have promptly smacked some sense in to such fools.

    Hi Chris,
I am surprised that you don't notice the large number of people nearby, without benefit of crash barriers etc. Ever wonder what would happen if a tire blew or he hit a patch of sand or his right foot twitched? I met a guy at a local show/tell on The Queensway a few years ago, he was carless due to it being repaired after hitting a lamp post in a parking lot doing exactly what that Porsche owner was doing in NF. **** happens! A 42 year old should know better.

I wasn't in Yorkville so I can't comment on the burnouts there or why police didn't act on them.

I went down to Yorkville, checked out the cars - didn't really feel like going, but once I got there was very happy I went. Parking was no problem, illegally parked on Belair on the wrong side of the road - no ticket - and I was parked for about four hours!!!

I did see a girl writing in the dirt on the Gold Lambo - which was kinda lonely being the first car on Belair - but other than that I didn't see anything offensive.

The car owners seemed to love the crowds around their cars and encouraged photos. I thought it pretty cool to see all the Middle East license plates, Monaco plates - just cool.

You have a point there my friend...all good points really. But after all, the individuals putting them in harms way should be noted. I was certainly not innocent about this going around the barriers on Yorkville and walking into the middle of Avenue Road to shoot pics of cars heading in.........

I was also surprised as I never knew this to be an arrestable act.

Private property isn't covered under the 'Ontario Highway Traffic Act', so doing donuts in a parking lot, the only charge they have - is Dangerous Driving - which is a 'Criminal Charge' - thus the arrest.

If you where doing burnouts or donuts on the street they could charge you with 'careless driving' - a Highway Traffic act charge - thus you can be cited - not necessarily arrested.
