The car is in perfect condition with no stone chips or any flaws.

Nice looking car and well spec'd. Will be interested to learn the value in the US market. In Hong Kong it would be about 33% less than original sticker - maybe more for this car as some of the options would not hold value such as the paint

 

I know there are others that will say an 07 with CCB's is 200K. But i think a more realistic number is 220K/225K. Basing a price for an 08 with CCB's standard plus some nice options (excluding paint) and low miles probably 260/265K. I'm with DM about 100K off list. If he is asking 285K its too much. IMHO 250K would be a fairly decent buy for this car. As long as the miles are reasonable the year will hurt the seller much more than the milage.The 599 is an 08 almost 2 years old and is not a limited model. They are still building them and it must compete against the HGTE which most buyers would prefer going forward. Cheaper is better as it will continue to depreciate for some time. By 2011 and increased driver miles figure another 30K hit. Just my thoughts and others may disagree.

 

Read the posts on lifter noise. You may want to check to see if this car exhibts the problem before you make an offer.

 

Agree should check for lifter noise. It can be difficult to track down unless you check specifically for it. Motors will probably vary but in my experience of one motor it is best heard from a dead cold start. Just leave it idle for about 2 mins. The noise if present should appear after about 1 minute.

When the motor is warm you won't hear anything.

Offer low, but pay what you can afford. That is a beautiful car, and worth a little stretch.

It's beautiful car. If you are buying it to enjoy and you pay $250k it will cost you $30-40k for 1 year of enjoyment.

 

Under this theory we should all be scrambling to sell cars to Bill Gates. I think many buyers can afford to pay up but choose not to because they have lots of experience in being a seller

Once burnt, twice shy. I doubt I will ever buy new again. The only bright side of selling the 599 GTB was the deal I got on the purchase of my low milage 09 Scud. When I sell it for the GTO I will lose again. But since the original owner already took a huge hit. Whatever I lose will be exceptable. Especially when I think about what I get to drive home.

 

$210K, cash.........non sequential bills, etc....put it in this.

Gorgeous car with almost a perfect option list and beautiful interior and exterior colors. The $250K sounds like a very fair deal to a buyer, not so sure about the seller for a 1900 mile car with all those goodies. This car can be upgraded to HGTE specs if desired by a well-heeled owner.
