There isn't enough preparation talk for trackday here. Everyone just rushes into it like its a free for all orgy. Sepang is already extremely forgiving due to it's wide track and numerous runoffs. In track events, there are a few simple rules. #1 It is ALWAYS the responsibility of the passing driver to pass in a safe manner. #2 If you cannot afford to drive your car off a cliff, you should reconsider tracking it. Esp in a open track day. Its just pure simple common sense. We are all there to enjoy tracking and driving ourselves and our cars to limitations known only to us. If we were to try and push it beyond the line, then expect things to happen, cars trashed and maybe people hurt. Try to be as safe as possible out there. You are only as fast as you are IF you can drive your car home.

Brudder Lung and Jon, you guys may be interested in this What you're looking at here is a pre-production rendering of the next Ferrari timepiece. It's the brainchild of renowned watch designer Jean-Francois Ruchonnet, and will be produced by exclusive Swiss watchmaking atelier Cabestan. Based on some of Ruchonnet's previous designs for Cabestan, the Scuderia One incorporates an incredibly intricate vertical tourbillon movement, chain-driven via individually handcrafted links, with carbon fiber and other exotic materials employed in its construction. The watch will reportedly be limited to just 60 examples, available only to existing Ferrari owners at a price point of wait for it $300,000. its pretty sad, how things turned out. i'm quite up in arms over it right now. hope things resolve in a justifiable manner.
Syncro was the first thing that came to mind too. Anyway, could be a safety mechanism, not that sure though. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, it took them them 8 days to get my delivery to my doorstep once it reached Malaysia, and I swear on Demi God,they gave me the EXACT SAME excuse!! Standard line they use perhaps? I mean, my package was 3kg at most God, just curious, what do u drive/fly/dive in/on? You could get another Ferrari for that price!
I thought so too, especially when I'd get the same grinding sound even when shifting normally from 4th to 5th, and this started happening a mere 3 days after I bought my car brand new. Unforunately the mechs here at the dealership swear that it isn't the syncro
You driving an RX-8 right? Was browsing through some forums, and apparently, LOADS of people have the same problem with the 5th gear, especially drifters. How the phuck do they manage to start a drift in 5th, that's a whole s**t load of power! Great minds think alike brudder!
Wow thanks! So this is a common problem with the car? I've no idea how they drift in 5th either, that's crazy man! I must say that it's a pretty tail happy but easy to control car though.
if the car is still In Malaysia, maybe he can go to the workshops in sunway, they would deff be cheaper than the quoted price. Not sure how much damaged, but he should be able to get a rear half cut for a steal in sungei besi area. Hope this info helps
Now you tell me. I got couple of windscreens coming on UPS! If they can't handle Derek's brakes, I cannot imagine my windscreens..
