I know, I have never ever waited so long for parts! Well, IA blamed Ferrari. Said they do not have the parts in stock, etc.
My friend told me to document that I have already highlighted the problem to the dealership before the warranty ran out, so if they choose to delay and only fix the problem after the warranty runs out, I can take legal action against them for not upholding the warranty. The guy who told me to do this wasn't a lawyer but he worked at a Porsche and BMW dealership before so I guess he knows what he's talking about.
But it's still under warranty man! I had this problem since day 3 of owning the car, it should be covered by warranty right?
That is right, once reported during the warranty they must repair it even if it is delayed until out of warranty. But, the main problem is you dont get to drive a perfect car now.
Yes, the main thing to buy a car from the official dealer is for the after sales service and to have a piece of mind!
How many years has it been? So, stop complaining now Get a specialist to look @ it & they'll advice u. It's probably a 10mins job for them then tell your dear Mazda that a 3rd party had a look @ it but by now, they'll argue that it's wear & tear...... good luck mate. U know, when I first picked up my Murcie 3yrs ago, it had a slipping sound from the clutch so I asked them if the clutch is dying, they said "nadda". 15,000 km & few track days later they told me we're hearing that clutch slip! durrrrh
You should take Jon advise and go to a transmission specialist for them to check so that you will know the exact problem and the dealership will not be able to mess with you! Specialist workshop always better to get your car to the optimum standard, dealership more for servicing and replacing wear and tear parts.
Leang, yr Ferrari's out of action? This is so sad to hear of late that Ferrari owners are having down time of several weeks to months so is there a benefit of buying a new car or one under warranty? I'm one of those who'll get my parts in. Yes, we have other cars but the joy in owning an exotic is to have it in your very own garage & knowing that u can drive it off anytime of the day!
My Ferrari is in action bro! The parts that i have been waiting for are things like brake pump and cosmetic stuff like carbon fiber parts in the engine bay which has been outstanding since last year! Thankfully the car can still be driven while waiting for all this stuff as it does not really affect the drive except for the brake pump but I like everything perfect! I mean with a car that cost so much money, its only right to be particular right! You are right, even if we have other cars to use, we still like to have the exotic cars park at home all ready to go!
Huh. Isn't the engine bay in carbon? Now what have u been doing to justify a brake pump @ less than 3yrs old Btw, isn't it dangerous to be driving around with a faulty brake system? Or u juz being a perfectionist!
Yes, the engine is in carbon but the carbon has faded (Known problem/Recall) and they are suppose to replace it. They claim that it is the brake pump that is causing the poor braking power that I was complaining about (Since day 1). Main problem here is that I have been waiting way too long!
porschesgforum.com bud, stone chips are meant to be on an rs... It's part of the battle scars mate! Pity it won't be out by next Friday. A group is going to sepang. We are all meeting Porsche club Malaysia and Porsche club Thailand. Many classic 911s coming from Thailand and Malaysia will have a 993 gt2 there! Singapore will be predominantly 997 gt3 and gt2s... If your car made it and spaing had his rs I would bring mine. Otherwise I will be bringing the evo. Hehe.
You have a problem with your brake pump and ital thinks it's still fine to drive the car??? You gotta be kidding me! Does ital know what a brake pump does?!?! Jeez.
