    Thanks
The item about MS having to watch himself since Damon will be a steward this weekend raises a question.
Should ex-drivers be allowed to pass judgement on drivers that they raced against and may still harbor grudges (not the Hill does) against?

    * Another fascinating aside during the press conference was Christian Horner's disclosure that a double diffuser is now worth "in the region of two seconds, maybe more." In F1 terms, that's a lifetime. Diffusers have been outlawed for 2011 and the aerodynamic challenge already thrown down for next season will be to claw back as much as that missing two seconds as possible. F1 is an innovative business and the winning prize for next season will surely go to the team who thinks up another f-duct type concept

I found this item to be very interesting--especially at Monaco, which is a slow track.

2 secs is a generalization. The effect will vary with length of track and average speed. Monaco wouldn't see the benefit a faster track would.

Please. These are professionals. To believe they'd put their credibility on the line and stoop to such base shenanigans is inickxplicable.

Most would think an orgy with Nazi-clad hookers would be inexplicable but this is Formula One we're talking about...

Actually, I think for this purpose it is spelled correctly.

Remember who the chief steward was in 1984 when the rain came, throwing the red/checkered flag as to insure the rookie flying in P2 would not overtake the leader, a frenchman (?)

If that race had run 3 more laps (if that) Senna would have had his first win.

Yes, a Belgian was the chief steward. I doubt the implied conspiracy theory regarding Jacky Ickx.

    I don't.

Ickx was under contract at the time for porsche, and a TAG (nee porsche) powered car 'won'.

Ok, man how a memory fades.

Senna passed Prost on the 'final' lap, but they threw the red flag, and scoring goes back to the previous lap, and Prost led that one.

It's kinda bittersweet, because I liked Prost and Senna, but I REALLY like underdogs. Like Vettel in the Toro Rosso, today: not as much.
