No. Not any cars, Mille Miglia is from 1927-1957, thirty years & cars must be the same models being participated within those 30yrs. I've seen 1925 to 1956 in this event. You can have a Bugatti 35, Porsche 356, Jaguar XK120 (no 140/150 & definitely not E types!), a lot of cheap 4doors Fiat & Lancias are possible entries as well. Well, there was a Volkswagon Beetle too!

The event has become more relaxed over the past few years but still 2 days, two nights & less than 6 hours sleep in between. Some places require absolute driving attention as you'll be overtaking in blindspots while the mountain passes will need skills NOT to overcook your half- century old brake system. Not to mention those tyres!

Some pre-war cars had the co-driver using a torch light for night driving :D

There are team & organiser support vehicles throughout the route in case you need help. They also installed GPS system into your car.

Imagine in 1955 Sterling Moss & Jenkinson did only just about 10hrs in the same route with poorer roads averaging 160km/h. Some mountain passes are only possible @ well under 100. These are the true heroes of racing!

In short, for classic cars to qualify for MM. I'm thinking of Jaguar XK120, Porsche 356 or some other Fiats etc (RHD) keeping cost under S$100K excluding import duties.

Otherwise, keep them in Europe for your holidays, drives & numerous classic rallies throughout the year there.

Or bring it in here under "Race" category & keep @ home or workshop so you just pay GST. AND don't ever get caught driving it :D

Lastly, buy a pre-war (1940) car & even LHD. You can register it here with very little local taxes & if you pay full COE, you can even have it on normal plate & roadtax! Only issue is, you cannot sell the car except export.

The Jaguar spokesman commented that the Mille Miglia is equivalent to the prestigious America's Cup.

No, considering that my Murcielago had 26K km on the clock when I bought it. I added well over ten thousand extra & it must be one of the highest mileage car in the area :D

Factory recommended somewhere between 30-40K km so mine was well within specs. Everything worked on the car throughout the years, no flat battery, always first crank. Only the bloody ECU died mysteriously...

Some cars had the clutch changed with less than 1K km..... u can ask the workshop :D

Btw, it's S$17K for the clutch job for manual. Possibly more for E gear!

Robson design. Run a check on google, he's in Kaki Bukit now.

I believe we're not braking hard enough. Well, at least from what I read from other threads. On the track, those guys hit the brake so hard that the ABS kick-in all the time. Then again our street cars are too heavy @ over 1.5tons & extremely sizeable torque. I'm sure stock brakes are more than enough for street driving.

    Answered above.

Woo hoo, u sure that's not a true female?

Yum yum. Am I missing anything here? :D

Btw, saw you & bro in an ad recently.

Darn, they must be saying it's the Singaporeans....

Btw, was any Scuderia sold & delivered by Ital?

Was thinking that too but isn't it wearing away too excessively? Ital told Leang it's the pump system & it's taking months without sight so going around it will be my option.

Btw, how about the Stradale? I don't hear complaints about it. Aren't they all made by Brembo?

Dude, its normal to bed-in new brake pads & clutches. All mechanics will tell u to go easy on it initially. Well, at least for all my cars so far.

    This is bloody funny!

I have driven Leang's car... similar symptoms... problem was solved by proper bedding process.

I bought my Stradale used, so I don't know how the brakes felt when they were new.
