And, I couldn't resist, so I bought the last "Junkers GMT Lufthansa" watch from Chris.
So, if you see another fchatter at a Ferrari event some day wearing one of these, it is 99% likely to be one of us. :)

Thanks Chris. The watch arrived in new condition on the day you said it would.
    Great doing business with you.

    Not so affordable. :D:D

    http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=1051470

An auction house says a Patek Philippe gold wristwatch sold for a record price of $US5.7 million ($A6.31 million) at a Swiss auction.

Christie's said on Tuesday it was the highest price ever for a watch from the auction house and a record price for any yellow gold wristwatch ever sold at auction.

Christie's says the 1943 piece was bought by a private Swiss museum. It declined to identify the museum.

The watch was sold late on Monday. It contains a perpetual calendar chronograph with moon phases.

    Breitling Colt Chronograph
Silver dial with blue subdials, not as common as the black and silver.

    38mm
    Quartz Chronograph
    AR coated crystal
The bracelet is near full length, it fits me a little tight, so anyone with a 8" wrist will be good.
    Fresh battery and pressure test
    Really clean watch.

    Priced to sell this weekend.

Comes with manuals, Chronometer cert, and outer box.
I did not get the inner box.
Everything in the pics comes with the watch

First email get's this Breitling at nearly a third of the list price

    $1145

    It's the economy! :)

Of all the watches you've posted over the years, I'd guess more have sold than haven't....

    With the ORIGINAL box!

Trying to get a value on it, but Laco will probably buy it. I am happy to have it in my hand right now :)

Ebay shoppers, please do your homework and don't get screwed like this customer I just had.
    Ceramic bezel and all.
Came in on trade and apparently he paid $5500
I offered $250 just so I can completely tear it down and document every nook and cranny of the watch for future reference for all buyers. He was not interested and was in shock (supposedly).

It's crazy how good fakes have gotten, however, I could spot at least 4 tell tale signs before I got to the photo of the movement.
    Buyer beware!

Yes, the fugazi's are getting better. Trained eyes like yours are educated in Rolex (and probably all others), but a lot of people are not trained.
It's scary how someone would pass a fake as a real watch.

I haven't looked online, but hopefully there is someone who really documents these fakes as they are released in the wild.
