...continues. When told about his brake issues he said something along the lines of "what the hell" and then continued to whine at his team. A simple "rodger that" would have sufficed. Here you have Jenson whose race was ruined over an unimaginably stupid move on behalf of the team and you don't hear a peep from him.

Hamilton really needs to grow up and stop souring his relationship with the team before they start favouring Button just as they did with Hamilton over Alonso.

I think it's funny/interesting that of all the radio transmissions they could play, they continue to broadcast F1's Princess Hami's problems with the team. I have to remind myself that he's relatively a young guy, then I think of Vettell and the way he works so well with his guys.

What can I say, the guy doesn't think before he opens his mouth. The thing all the Hamilton fanboys don't understand is that he brings this on himself...

During the after race F1 forum show yesterday. It was mentioned during the Redbull celebrations, that Vettell was known to get on his team case in the pits at times. Or did you miss that;)

    Look on the bright side....

Considering Hami's not from LA, at least we won't have to endure Gloria Allred's heinous face on the tube! ;):)

    I was just saying....

The whole race racer thing was too hard to pass up.... Didn't mean to offend.

However, if his father pulled it one day, given his vocal nature in the past, I wouldn't be all that shocked.

I agree with the Speed crew. While it wasn't brought on by Hami, his response didn't help their cause in any way....

Agreed. I think the Speed guys hit it on the head. When you're on the track, you're part of a TEAM. And besides--there's nothing they can do about it anyway. Bone up on your F1 history Hammy. Drivers used to have to drive around mechanical issues all the time. Schumacher stuck in 4th gear comes to mind...;)

And Alonso is a whiner (accusing his team of sabotaging his car)

And Vettel is a whiner (throwing a hissy fit and refusing to come into pit)

And who was it that ignored the team orders and came into the pits when the team told him to do another lap? I forget.

and so on, and so on.

You never hear radio transmissions from Chandhook, Di Grassi, Glock, Senna, et al - only from the top guys. And the teams choose, IIRC, which transmissions are allowed to go live to the world. I wonder if McLaren doesn't somewhat get back at Lewis for saying silly thing by airing them to the world?

And it feeds the Hamilton hatred.

I notice the thread that got posted with the results of the McLaren tire failure, where it came out that the wheel itself failed was magically devoid of any comments by all the dorks who were just positive that Hamilton was to blame for the failure because he is known to be unable to maintain his tires.

    Pointless thread.

I dislike Hamilton quite a bit but whining about a radio transmission and he could have said it a little bit nicer...please.

Some in the media and Fchat have expressed concern than Hami criticises the team in public. In the end alienating anyone on his own team could hinder his performance. And to the extent he offends the public it can hurt his endorsements and his pocketbook.

If Hami enjoys being a lightning rod so be it. The only one in the end that control Hami's mouth is Hami himself.

I am not a Hami fan so if he wants to hurt his own chances for success and his own image, I say he has every right to do so and I will exercise my right to enjoy watching him shoot himself in the foot (not fatal but somewhat injurious). ;)

Funny thing about Hamilton. When he's winning it all him and when he's losing it everyone else....

Indeed. Although he has got a little better at thanking the team, blah, blah than he used to be. Given that the team controls what conversations get broadcast, I actually think he's got the right to say to 'em "thanks a lot for broadcasting my hissy fit guys!" It sure seems that whoever's on the buttons at Mclaren doesn't like him much!...... Of all the transmissions they could let out, they chose that one?

    Cheers,
    Ian

I agree. It's just an expression of frustration. Not directed at the team.

All transmissions are public by default. It's more likely they just let all of them out than that they pick and choose. Of course there are lots of banal transmissions which the director doesn't bother to broadcast.
