I am suddenly not so proud to live in Oklahoma as local ignorance was portrayed in the following question when I had the Gallardo in the Staples parking lot:

    Aren't these illegal in Oklahoma?.

(All I could say was "I does have Oklahoma Tags, doesn't it".)

It went better at the Gas Station though when my car was called "Sexy" but no comment about how I looked. (I do suck on the looks side so I was a pretty happy camper).

As a transplanted South African even the locals would look at your tag before making idiotic comments. (They can hardly read).

Sorry but there is no end to the dumb questions/remarks you'll hear.

Just a few of the common ones.

Don't feel bad Deon over the last year and a half I can give you over a thousand dumb questions that have been asked of me at Autozone, Here's just a couple..........

Are your rotors supposed to get hot when you drive around town?

Then just today I got asked, " How much for a quart of 20w50 Castrol?" I said $4.29 a quart, he says "then how much for four quarts?"

After picking up my Ferrari last summer the first stop I made was actually in Tulsa for gasoline. As I was pumping my first gas into the tank two older kids came up to me and asked if my car was a Fiero. I maintained my composure, but just thought "What an appaling first question to be asked about my Ferrari!!!"

Yes, I knew I was in Oklahoma right then.

I had my Ferrari mistaken for a Mustang :)

Having license plates on the car doesn't mean a thing. Could have just put your minivan's plate on there (I've seen it done before). Also, plenty of registered Skylines in the south... which are illegal in the country, but somehow make it past local offices.

I think if you modify them enough to meet emission laws, theyre fine. Thats what Ive heard from many people (even an R32 Skyline owner),but not too sure if its true.
