yup, FIAT Dino Coupe as everyone has said already.

Also made a Spider http://www.dinospider.com/ same engine as the Ferrari and many of the FIATs are badged as Ferrari's by their owners. Mine has NO Ferrari badging and proudly wears its FIAT badges and Dino badges.

Sadly, this is a "high" production Dino (in Dino terms), but a low survivor rate Dino.

These are cool cars, but often neglected in years past due to their upkeep. In only recent years have they appreciated by people outside the Fiat circles.

I love the Spider (Spyder?) versions of these cars. They can rightly be called a "baby Daytona," IMO.

The coupe I'm not so crazy about, speaking just in terms of looks.

Of course, of all the Dinos, the Ferrari Dino 206 is my favorite by far. :) (That and my dog, Dino.)

I'm sorry but putting a prancing horse on the back of that car is simply a crime -- and part of the confusion of this post.

Dino's are Dino's. Celebrate them for what they are, not what they aren't. Sorry, a Fiat Dino is not a Ferrari.

Sparkling Wine in California may make an excellent drink and be of the finest quality. But, it's still not Champagne and shouldn't be labeled so.

Someone must have read my entire web site to find that Daytona quote :)

I did not call it that, just some guy at a gas station did when he said motor in front and 6 cylinders, exactly half a Daytona.

And don't worry guys, my car only sounds like a Ferrari at redline, there are NO Ferrari badges on mine, never will be.

Love the car, love the engine, but the horsey on there just makes it wrong.

I think the Dino Coupe is a sensationally understated fluid shape, looks good from any angle.A truly beautiful design and Bertone at the top of his game.

If you put a Iso Grifo nose to nose with the Fiat Dino coupe you can quickly see what car it looks similar to.

He's not the only guy who ever called it that. For years, I heard the guys in the Fiat club referring to their Fiat Dino Spyders as "Baby Daytonas." Which is fine. 6-cylinder engine, front mounted, made by Ferrari* (but NEVER badged as such), convertible, design by Pinninfarina. . . It qualifies, at least in the popular lexicon.

But nobody should take this to mean that you can re-badge your Fiat Dino Spyder as a Daytona; you're right: Dinos should not have added Ferrari badging. Dinos are marvelous, magnificent, beautiful cars that should be proud of what they are. And they shouldn't try to present themselves as something they're not.

*EDIT: I should say ENGINE by Ferrari.

Say, Fred...about the only similarity between my ASA and the blue one is floor-mounted pedals and USA version! Mine has a loooong way to go to look that good. :(

Sorry, Jonas...we've drifted a bit off topic; that's been known to happen on FerrariChat. :)

So, velocetwo...it's all your fault. ;)

    Sincerely,
    Coop

Yes but we got to see a pic of your car, so it was worth it. Almost bought a 2 owner ASA in Berkley CA a number of years ago.
