Just a gorgeous car. Lowbody? Looks like it's sitting nice and low. I guess I like the 205-50-15's up front better than the 225-50-15's of the later cars. Doesn't look so "jacked up".
it's 1121208, the engine was for sale, the gearbox is still http://www.carclassic.com/stock.asp?Ref=DU90&Lang=en (forget the description, it's a collection of errors)
Clutch Release Bearing On ebay, used. I suggest someone make an offer on this. Just because every once in a while someone winds up asking for one. If not, make note of the seller for future reference. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghini-Countach-Clutch-Release-Bearing-/320534488905?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aa1582749
Wow I had no idea that even used ones fetched such insane money. Although I am not in the market for one, if I were I would contact F-Chat sponsor Hill Engineering. They make some fantastic replacements for the expensive Ferrari units and I am sure that they could make something for the Countach. Oh and just to put to rest the minds of those who want to stick with Lamborghini 'originality and quality', the stuff that comes out of Hill Engineering is used in everything from Aerospace to F1. Without a doubt it would be the best manufactured part on the whole car.
a french fellow of mine replaced his CC 5000 S clutch by a factory one recently, insane price was applied : 6.250 + Taxes/VAT just for the kit, no labor. does someone has another cheaper/less expensive source for that replacement part ? which quotation is it ? which material use ? carbon or regular friction ?
Gt parts rebuilds the throw out bearing, as well as a few others. You can get the pressure plate & clutch disc rebuilt. It can be done for something near or under $500 if you go this route (parts only).
