    Well said Julio!

The most amazing of this all is that many people still put in front anything said or done by Ferrari Classiche than whatever is said by people with real knowledge. And this over restored cars...they NEVER looked like that before!!!!!

I'm afraid I have always been rather cynical of Classiche. I think it is fulfilling its original purpose because I think the original purpose was as a money-making stream for Ferrari.

When you see a plate installed with screws it usually means the screws have replaced the original rivets. just one man's opinion tongascrew

Yes. I don't know if the owner forsaw bad weather, but the interior was almost completely covered in plastic. Or maybe it's to preserve the imprint of McQueen's anterior?! ;)

    Jim,
Oh, no, not pathetic in the least. It is actually period correct plastic covering. I know because they bought it from me who had removed it from my Italian grandmother's couch.

    Good day Julio,

I have been periodically watching this thread with absolute awe and amazement, but found that your particular viewpoint particularly impressive. In simply a few sentences, you reflected a novel of experiences with which I am still smiling over! Well done, and thank you for sharing! Hopefully, at some point in the future, I, too, can share such a momentus moment in such an event.

Thank you once again for sharing!

    Cheers,

    Sam

Suggest you look up the difinition in the Cambridge Dictionary.

A fake is "an object which is made to look real or valuable in order to deceive people" Clearly the motivation was not to deceive as chassis 1069GT will never be listed as an original 250 Berlinetta.

A better description would be a recreation "when you make something exist or happen again" or replica which would be "an exact copy of an object"
