William, I truly hope you get the GT. It really is a special car that was made in a special moment in time. ...And I will use any excuse to post this video of it, which is one of my favorite car videos of all time. http://www.broadbandsports.com/node/10561&gvsm=1
I also agree that you should get the Ford GT. I absolutely love those cars. You should also take a trip over to GT40s.com and check it out. As previously mentioned, great bunch of guys over there. I am over there all the time.
I only know of three... the Orange one, a Tungsten one and a custom wine colored one... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Never could the 'net be wrong! I doublecheck'd the autoblog link and it includes the press release from Genaddi stating "only about 100 GTX1s..." Also, found same on Jalopnik: http://jalopnik.com/341645/ford-gtx1-reaching-end-of-production Two sources quoting the same source so it must be true. That said, wouldn't be the first time a manufacturer fibbed about production #s.
Funny, I saw three tungsten GTX-1's just last week. I think I've seen 7 of the 28 or so GTX-1's made. There was no "manufactuerer" there was only Genadi (sp?) design who did the conversions. Although, there is talk of the original designer of the X-1's starting to make the conversions again "soon" (which may be 12 months away if it happens).
who wants to take a perfectly good car... and then cut the roof off... I would pretty much consider any of those cars totalled... but thats just me and I am clearly biased and stubborn (even though this did happen to the double leman winner 1075) LOL
I just recently bought a GT William. I doubt very much you will be disappointed, they really are a great car. I am still getting to know it, but that will change in a few weeks as I yake it on a trip to the Le Mans Classic...cant wait. My only reservation is the steering, which is a little light for my taste. I see you have already joined the GT Forum, it is a great place, just like here, all the help and enthusiasm you could wish for. I really believe the GT will go down in history as one of the true greats..go for it.
Very nice. You haven't been driving around RB lately, have you? I've seen the same black/black (no stripes) car a few times lately..
Do it! You'll love it - plus, GTs dont depreciate like a rock so if you decide to sell it (which you wont) you probably wont lose much...in theory! I love the no stripe cars but i'm biased...my silver no stripe is below Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is my Tungsten no stripe GT, just 1800 miles up, the owner did not use it much. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
heres mine, had it out on I-5 last night, first time on the open highway after ALOT of sorting, fitting, tuning, building etc, etc Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw a Navy Blue one with no stripes today. It was the first I've seen w/ out the stripes. Looks REALLY badass!
