hi i intend to upgrade my exhaust system, like new header, cat-bypass and after market exhaust. Is it necessarily to re-program or upgrade the ECU or just maintain the stock ECU?

Will there be any different in car performance just to maintain stock ECU?

    TQ

You will see a bump in HP with headers, high flow cats and airbox.. Fabspeed.com has some dyno charts with that same setup with zero ECU changes of over 40hp gains.
Get the ECU tuned and you can definately pull out some more HP. I added the headers and high flow cats to my Scuderia and I must say I was very happy with the HP gains as well as the incredible sound my car has now.

Call Fabspeed and ask for Jeremy..908.894.9699

Hi good to hear after header and cat bypass upgrade we can gain 40bhp. I am actually waiting for my shipment from Fabspeed to arrive for my F430 with Tubi evolution exhaust.
Jeremy have been very helpful and the service from him is outstanding. Thanks Jeremy.

Will post some video when i have the header and cat bypass with BMC air filter installed.

Please post some video of your Scuderia if possible. Wnat to know what is the different in term of sound between F430 and scuderia with header, & catbypass upgrade.

Thanks for the kind words : ) Your ECU's are packed up and waiting at the front door for FedEx to pick-up. You got that special 105 octane file in there now Bro! Your Scud should be screaming after this....

So the ecu tune is just for extra HP not a must when changing exhaust and adding cat bypass/test pipes? So how much more HP could one expect with the ecu tune

We see an 8-10% increase in hp/tq from 360/430 with ECU tuning.

20hp with software alone is what Ive seen before. However, its not the peak power that really makes the difference, its the low and mid range increases that are noticeable. If you add the exhaust it will make more of a difference.

40hp without ecu tuning is impressive. cost per hp very good. ecu tune depending on cost may not be worth it.

ECU tuning on a 430 should gain 20-25whp alone. Paired with headers and cats it should be 50-60whp. The ECU tune will really benefit low end and mid range where it really counts.

Ive seen 20whp with just software, so you could probably get to +45whp with headers and high flow cats/test pipes. With the intake manifold from a CS and a little head work you could easily get to +60-70whp.

The ECU tune will help the car through the entire rpm band. The car is probably running really rich now with the cat-bypass pipes. What we would do is makes some pulls on the dyno logging the AFR and timing.....from there start making a file to maximize the components installed on your car. Our goal is not to see how much hp we can make at redline but to make hp and tq throughout the entire rpm range. Feel free to stop by one day and I will show you how we tune the car on the dyno and program the ECU's : )
