Darling. Is yours a 6.3? Not offence but it could be a very different animal, even the regular AMG. I might be biased though. They will be releasing the roadster version like 300SL but the gull wing is the winner. Don't like the arse as it reminds me of a Maybach which is a saloon & a damn big one @ that!

However, on paper the 6.2 power delivery is not an eye-popper, in fact, it's very similar to my ex-Murcie. Yikes!

Haha no it's not :D No offense taken, I know exactly what you mean.

I think the car looks pretty ugly in pictures though, and the interior looks kinda cheap for a car of that price.

First Ferrari 458 crash in Poland, swerving to avoid hitting a bus, and went straight into a Volkswagen Bora.

Initially I thought it looked pretty good so I got myself a 1:18 model. Now the more I look at it, the uglier it looks. Don't like the front snout. Only the side profile looks okay.

Agreed on the gullwing. The roadster loses the signature doors so there's nth special about it anymore, just another supercar.

I remember this site holding a contest to guess when the first 458 crash would occur when it was first launched.

I don't think the roadster will lose its signature doors, just look at the SLR roadster.

Yup the hinges are at the top of the car, right in the middle. So the gullwing doors will definitely be gone.

I'm now kicking myself for not paying attention to it when it was right in front of me! Shows that how little presence it has in front of the classics :D

Wow, Lung can write a user manual!

Oh, that's the best way to own the car without having all the necessary expenses :D

To be honest, I really love the original 300SL roadster over the gullwing due to it's profile lines, unique vertical headlamps & improvements made but it's LHD & values way above my pocket so it'll always be my poster dream car :)

Still leaves quite a big hole in my wallet! :(

But yeah, they also serve as my inspiration and motivation to work hard and get my own 1:1 in the future :)

I love how the front looks on the original 300SL. Too bad the SLS didn't capture any of that essence and beauty.
