    It's a high-performance sports car that can reach speeds of more than 300km/h.

    But two men who allegedly stole a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera from a Port Melbourne car dealership today barely managed to drive it one kilometre before they were nabbed by police.

    Detectives are interviewing two men over the theft of the $400,000 vehicle from Lorbek Luxury Cars this morning.

    Police allege two men stole the vehicle from the Plummer Street business about 11.20am, before it was located about 10 minutes later around the corner in Bertie Street.

    "Two men were arrested in relation to that. They were located with the car," a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.

    There was no damage to the bright yellow vehicle, which was returned to the dealership, the spokeswoman said.

    The car dealership declined to comment this afternoon.
