Hi guys. Last weekend I finetuned the old carburators, and I noticed something was missing. It's a screw to attach the throttle cable somehow. It is kept in place with a small pin. The pin I found on the engine, but for good finetuning I need that screw obviously. Can anyone help me??? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd try calling around to the parts houses, check with sponsor Ricambi, or Dennis McCann at Allferrariparts.com. He can come up with all manner of bits!
are you looking for part 28 or part 31? Niether are "Screws" part 28 is a nut used to lock down the threaded end of the throttle cable. cant remember if this is a rh thread or lh thread, but should be available at any parts or hardware store. Part 31 connects the throttle cable to the bell housing. Those are hard to find, but pierce manifolds has a piece that is not OEM but will work just fine for that particular connection. Not sure what you mean by fine tuning, but you can adjust the throttle cable length in two other areas.
I think he's talking about the threaded plug that screws into the linkage ball sockets. The socket pops onto the linkage ball, then you tighten this plug which locks the socket onto the ball. The threaded plug is held in place by a microscopically small cotter pin. As John says, your best bet is probably Pierce Manifolds.
I see. Pierce doesnt have those, I checked a while back. Suggest just replacing that entire unit with one of these, from Pierce.
