Beautiful Nero Dino

This is standing on the floor at our local dealer, have never seen one in Nero before and while not being perfect it certainly still looking stunning in this colour. For some reason the black seems to make the already small Dino look even smaller. Its quite something being able to compare it size to other Ferraris parked nearby, the 430 is massive in comparison and the 612 well it totally dwarfs the little Dino.

The Ferrari factory gave Doug Blain the british automotive journalist a black Dino just like that one for a road test. This was back in the early 70's when he still wrote for the English magazine "CAR". He greatly enjoyed the Dino.

When I clicked upon the links included in the original post, my Norton Anti-Virus and Internet Security protection immediately issued 4 warnings about the website hosting the photos. The responses on the Norton website suggest that the host isn't malicious itself, but that it appears that a hacker messed with the site.

Dont worry...... its nice just to see the title, However for an over weight fifty something to be called Beautiful by someone who doesnt know me is flattering but also a little worrying!

I have used photobucket before and I haven't had any problems. Maybe this is just a temporary problem with a local server in South Africa?

 

I have considered black for the color of the 246 gt that i am re-doing. However, it seems to mask the beauty of the lines and mutes the curves of the body. The official photographer of Ferrari is a buddy of mine and he echo'd the same sentiments from a professional view point as well. Taste as we all know is personal but my coupe will not be black.

 

My car was Black from new and i so wanted to get it back to original spec that i had 5 litres of Black two-pack (20-B-50 Salchi, i think!) made up at a cost of over £200.
But i deliberated over actually getting it on the car for over a year!, Eventually deciding that, A) It would not do the lines of the car justice. B) It would be a nightmare to keep looking pristine.
So i went for Grigio Ferro instead and am now really pleased that i did.
I have however kept the Nerodino name in memory of my expensive tin of paint that my body shop man used to spray his own 42 Willys Coupe with!
