No, not that. More like I cannot afford to repair that notoriously expensive roof! I bought spare pumps and sensors for it, all wrapped up for future use if needed. Even sourced for a spare roof fabric supplier, if I ever need one. Not easy to get and in future, will be even harder to find and pricey. That's the thing about keeping these older cars..
Good luck and all the best! May the wings be with u! Awesome! Replicating the V8 soundtrack sounds interesting!
HAHAHA, currently nearer to Sepang than to JB mate, but will give u a holla here when I'm heading down south, used to come over so often I practically spent more than half my life on the island!! Oh and thanks man, since SIA changed their cadet policies this year for locals only, I guess mas would be the next best thing, but heck, all I wanna do is FLY, so it doesn't matter which airline I get into at the early stages I'm sure u didn't miss type this one right? THANKS MATE!!
Well, someone's got to help keep this thread alive since our 2 guys have taken each other out like the Red Bull boys! All thanks to Winston, as always, for the wonderful shots.
LMAO i saw this a few days back! The guy is super hilarous and I'm spechless about the "car" itself. But it does have a bigger trunk than the current one I must say
Haha hopefully the dynamic duo will be back in action in 10 days time just like the Red Bull boys! Yup no doubt about it, he's a great photographer!
Mate, you sure about SQ closing the door to our northern friends? Sounds real odd as we are facing a steady stream of retirements from our baby boomers and I think we don't get enough locals to join due to the pittance we pay. MAS also good, your standard of living could be the same or better than flying for SQ and living in S'pore. For sure cannot have exotic car! Get your A/C ratings + hours up and you will be marketable wherever you wish to work/live in. But end of the day, be happy doing what you love best and it ain't a job at all, just a paid hobby!
Can anyone tell me if that's a wide or narrow body? & what kind of Gallardo is that @ the last few secs?!
Yup, I'm VERY VERY sure, they stopped taking international cadet applicants this year actually, really suay if I might say so myself. Applied and got rejected the day after, emailed HR and that is what they told me. Well it was actually stated in the recruitment advert, but I just decided to try my luck, but yeah, they said NO Oh well, if I do get the cadetship, I'll be bonded for 15years, but what the heck, I'd probably be a captain by the time I need to sign a new contract, and after that, I'll try SQ again, really wanna continue the family tradition. Got 2 uncles still there actually, don't know if u know them, they're brothers actually. Haha
Darn, will they want an over-aged guy like me? Not sure if I can pass the IQ test though Speaking of that I was along the ECP & saw an F15 flew past, wonder if it's from our squadron?
Yeah it looked insanely fierce! I thought it was one of those race-speced Gallardos that I've seen some people run in Hongkong before.
Yes, we have a few MAS guys who cross over to SQ but many many more cross over to the Arab airlines. In fact so many that at one stage, they dropped the MAS 777 fleet to critical numbers and had to up their pay. There, petrol is almost free and no income tax. It is just the lifestyle that you have to decide on esp if you have the other half to lug along. Who are your uncles? If they were 747 or 380, I may know them. We have quite a lot of brothers or father/son combi flying with us.
Now that's my dream bird! Wanted to fly that when I was a kid. Could be one of ours or the US squadron based at Paya Lebar.
