FCA Membership 2010 - 2011

Interesting that in the past two day's I've been contacted by two FCA members (Vic) who are so disgruntled with the 'silver spoon' attitude of the club that both are seriously considering not renewing their membership. Both have been members for many, many years and are either involved in the automotive industry or are collector/restorers or both.

They are both real blokes that love the cars and are getting totally pissed off with the way the FCA and in particular the VIC chapter is being run.

One said to me, it might as well be the Melbourne Gourmet Restaurant Guide rather than a car club for all of the car orientated events held these days.

Our current committee needs to pull the wool out of their ears, start listening to the background rumbles and do something about it.

 

Or if the current committee realised that it's not just those with Carby cars that have a motoring passion and orientated some events accordingly.

 

Must be only you and me around tonight RB?

Suze isn't too keen, especially given the recent efforts we put into addressing the committee about the casual drive days and 5 start attitude presiding over most if not all of the events.

I suppose that you have to look and see if you are getting value for your dollars.

Naturally being in the FCA has bought me into the ranks of PP, yourself and Brettski (along with many others) which some may say is well worth the investment.

On the other hand, I run sprint days occasionally so need to be in a CAMS affiliated club, so even if I joined another club it will still cost me $60 - $80 P/A just to qualify for my CAMS events.

So basically I'm blowing $100 P/A to hang with you lot!

Oh...........and for the privilege and exclusivity of being a member of the Ferrari Club of Australia!

 

I have a relocation in QLD at end of July so booking anything on a social scale is out for me during the move times Brett.

I'm considering nominating PP for 2011 President and running the campaign!

He's a proven a55hole so should fill the bill perfectly, and besides, at least he's not afraid to slum it with the rest of us 'real blokes'.
