Even more fun was driving 5909 for the various photos although it really wasn't good for carrying a full 4x5 Sinar set up.

What is the plate and date of your photo? If Pebble Beach 1975 or 76 it should be 5909 just after Griswold finished the restoration for Fred Knoop. That same year it was in the Historics at Laguna Seca with Bob Bondurant driving.

    Thanks much for that, Jeff!

I still cannot decide if it is the 250LM or the Touring Le Mans Berlinetta that is the most desirable onject in the world for me, alas, the problem is rather academic.

There are actually a total 11 pages that have to be rescanned at a lower resolution.

This seems to be the place for all things 250LM, wonder if anybody can tell me which 250 LM is shown in the link above ?

The car does not appear in the Goodwood FoS programme, being RHD with a single spindle I believe it might be s/n 6023 which I have read carries the ID from s/n 6313.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Relevant answers may be credited and used in a forthcoming blog.

Thanking you in anticipation of your responses.

I owned and raced 6051 in the late '80s. One of the most exciting race cars I ever drove both on the road and in racing.
Strange seating position that I got used to and not so easy gearchange.
I raced the car as several Historic events including Zandvoort and the Nurburgring.

Even in the rain (on BFGoodrich tyres) the car was a dream..........

    Wish I still had it!

Great footage of the Reims 12 Hours after about 30.40. Winner Graham Hill talks about his Cart Horse 250LM s/n 5907 entered by Maranello Concessionaires and his team mate Jo Bonnier. Colonel Ronnie Hoare seen here too. Later there is footage of the 1965 Le Mans winners, Jochen Rindt and Masten Gregory in a 250LM.
