I have the standard silver finish in the centre, far ends and steering wheel (60th anniversary) and I reckon the contrast look far superior to the CF expensive dull option.
What does anyone else think on this?
I'm not at all disappointed mine doesn't have it as I bought it 2 years old.

You said it best. You like the silver pieces better than CF. That's all that matters.

For me, CF was a must.

+2 is just make the car more racey. If you need someone to do it, let me know. I have someone that did all my porsche stuff for a good reasonable price.

Was the aluminum versions on the economy models?

Just kidding... Both fine in my eyes.. But I like the cf a bit better, probably like 9 of 10 do.

Looked at this post because I was thinking I missed an entire cf dash somehow.... :)

I only like the CF on tan dashboards/interior. Otherwise just too all-black for me.

But I have it on the door opening sills and long centre console which looks fantastic with the tan interior.
This optional fitting is quite rare here downunder as I've never seen another.

Had I not seen the silver trim in person, I would have been set on the carbon, but the silver interior pieces are very nice. They have a substantial look and feel - they are not cheap, light plastic parts, common in many lesser cars. If you tap them, they feel like they're metal (probably aluminum). Of course, the carbon trim looks really nice, too.

When choosing between the two finishes, it depends not only on one's love of carbon, some guys just want it wherever it's available, but the car's color combination, as well. For example, my car's grigio titanio/blk - the silver interior trim (it's actually more of a medium silver) compliments this color combo very well. The carbon would have looked good, but the silver really works.

Yep, like in the 360, the silver trim is aluminum painted aluminum. :)

Its a matter of preference I would go with what colors look best mixed together. I too only thought of CF until i found a Light Gray interior which looked incredible with the aluminum. If you feel like your missing something get the CF. Think of it like matching your tie, belt, and cuffs with your suit. Some elements come down to what you like.

The cf dash is one of the best features on the 430 in my opinion. Some people get out of control with cf but when done in good taste it makes the interior.

Before buying my car (which has CF dash and CF drivers) the 430 I test drove was a silver/blue spider with aluminum.. In all honesty the alum did nothing for me, and though the car had only 2400 miles it showed several scratches and a baby ding mark on the radio console.
