I was inspecting a 2008 750il for a client today at Motorcars of GA. Ed Bolian is a salesman there and is also a good friend there. They had a SV there and he invited me for a drive. I am BLOWN away. I've driven all sorts of Lamborghinis and really love the cars, but that SV is simply on another level of anything I've been in. During my ride, I kept muttering "Holy **** this is the fastest damn street car I've ever been in". It really was. The build quality is top notch, the carbon fiber is beautiful, the sound is other worldly and simply difficult to explain. If you have an opportunity to stop by your local Lambo dealer, I highly recommend stopping in and giving it a whirl, it will blow your mind....as it did my mind. Jesus where can I come up with a quick $486,000? Anyone got some spare change?? :)

Just want to thank Ed for a great, enjoyable ride. It was also cool that when I got home, I had the new La Vita Lamborghini Magazine in my mailbox, love that mag.

Dude, sick isn't even close to how nasty that car is. I would sell all my organs to have one. Not sure on the exact color name, but it was awesome.

I went to Lamborghini Miami about 3 weeks ago and they had a Matte White SV in service. Guy didn't have the right keys so we couldn't see it :(

Glad you enjoyed the ride Mitch. The car is truly phenomenal. Definitely be best car I have ever been in. The color is Grigio Telesto. Matte White is also great. I believe there is one in Vegas and one being worked on in Miami.

Yes ! Only Lambos can be truly awesome with Insanely Shocking Colours such as Verde ithaca, Orange, Battleship Grey, Flat White, Flat black, Flat Blue, etc. I never liked F-Cars in fancy colors.
Lambos are designed to look like a proper supercar!

    Oh, My, God.

That 570 is such a nasty looking car.

    For a Lamborghini, I like it :)

I believe it is. Lambo Carolinas has a Grigio Telesto 2008 Superleggera that I've seen many times. I'm a bit iffy on that shade, indoors it looks like a plastic battleship, but when the sun's out it really comes alive. Which reminds me, if you can't swing a 670 but gotta have Grigio Telesto, LC still has that SL for way off sticker and just enough demo miles that all the bugs should be worked out by now. Tell 'em I sent you and I'll waive my bird dog, see if they'll drop another 5k.

I put about 10,000 miles on my LP640 Roadster before I got my SV. I can say without hesitation that the SV is in a league of its own and far more refined than the LP640. You have to spend about 30 minutes driving it to really notice the subtle differences in how it tracks, shifts, handles, brakes, and rides. I love the LP640 and I still miss having a roadster, but the SV is really in its own class which is why so few remain.

I now have about 2,000 miles on my SV and the car continues to impress me as it continues to break in. I know I won't see the car's full potential until about 5,000 miles, but believe me, it's truly something special and if you have a chance to get behind the wheel, drive one, especially if you're an LP640 owner.

When you really spend time with it, you realize how much work went into refining it over the LP640 and with less than 40 in the US, it will remain one of those cars that's well worth having in the collection.

After reading your post, I would love to see Lamborghini release a LP670-4SV Roadster.
It would be a strong seller for them.

But I think all effors are being spent ona LP replacement.

    Thanks,

Production is now done on the LP640. We have to wait for what's next.

I drove a Rapide a month ago and thought it was a weird car. They started from the outside working in. Nothing felt right. It drives nice, but that's about it. Everything else felt weird because they were trying to stuff two more people in a slightly extended car. I had a large friend who didn't even want to try the back seat for fear we'd need four people to drag his ass out. The rear passenger door window must go down to exit without bumping your head. It's just weird. A DBS or DB9 is a far better design.

I agree. It looked way to small in person. They wouldn't even let me sit in it.

That's like saying what's missing is the whip and the horse's ass in front of your carriage. Standard shifting is gone as a thing of the past. It's antiquated and slow and what's coming is even faster and more sophisticated. It offers no benefit other than the satisfaction some need by holding something stiff in their hand. :)
