I really don't like the original wing mirrors on my GT4 and were thinking to change them to the Vitaloni California mirrors as they look a little more streamlined and a little less of an after thought. Will they fit straight on or is there more involved drilling holes etc.

    Anthony,
I agree with you that the flag mirrors were an after thought. I solved the issue on ours by installing Corvette (C3) mirrors. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could install the remote control stick,on the drivers mirror, in the same hole (had to enlarge) as the electric switch occupied. Just another way of dealing with the mirrors. Lost

my car came with them, but I have to warn you they are useless as mirrors. I once saw a convex CA mirror for sale somewhere that might give more visibility.

Funnily enough, I was looking at that myself today. The California mirrors have a smaller footprint than the standard ones. If the paint is good underneath you may get away with it but the holes are in the wrong place.

Common wisdom says my car 10766 came with the US mirrors but every owner but the first whom I cant get info on said it had 1 CA mirror on the drivers side the PO added one to the passenger side. If it did come with a US mirror the holes must be the same as there are no "other holes" drilled in my door??

That is a fine looking GT4, Anthony.
I just went back to your 09-28-2009 post that had the other shots of it. Very nice.
