It's been a long time since I have posted in this area but I'm in a bit of a dilema here. A good friend of mine informed me today that he is going to sell his gorgeous 89 Mondial T coupe. I have been drooling over this car for the past four years and now it could be mine. My dilema is I do not have the funds right now. How come these deals always pop up at the most inopprotune times? This thing would be perfect for me right now because I'd be able to take my 3yr. old gearhead grandson with my wife and I to all the events without taking two cars. He loves crusing with me in the 348 but I think something like this would be much more practical. Kinda funny When I sold my Mondi 3.2 coupe a couple of friends said I'd be sorry. Not that I'm unhappy with my 348, I just really love Mondials and this one is awesome. Oh well! Here's a picture of it in Monterey a few years ago.

I'm still kicking myself for cars that have gone away. It's a very tough position. The Mondial T really moves well. I've always loved the 250 GT Lusso. It was sustratospheric for a short while, now it's become $$$ again. I feel for you. Good luck!

If I understand correctly you still want to keep you 348 and add this T to your collection?

Does your friend need money now or could he make arrangements with you?

Good luck! Those Coupé are so rare!

It would have to be one or the other. No room in my house for two Ferrari's space wise or money wise or marrige wise.

As far as arrangements go I don't see that happening. I think that when you get in to that kinda stuff it strains friendships and this guy is to good of a friend to me.

If I can pull this off somehow that will be great but if not then it wasn't really meant for me and someone else is going to get a b!tchin Ferrari.

I just bought a 1990 Mondial T Coupe and it's a superb Ferrari. How much is your friend asking for it? I paid £18,000 for mine (about $27,000).....your friend's car looks a real beauty though.
I'd go for it if you want it, you may never get another chance.

Every Ferrari I bought was not an easy purchase, and I have no regrets over any of them. But I'm regretting the cars I lost and really wanted. I carry this around with me always, and it really really sucks!

I'm sorry for not helping make this easy on you.

PS: I agree not to risk the friendship over any car!

Wow John, that IS stunning and nicely presented, especially in the last picture.

Remember, the t has power steering so the Lady can drive it as well :)

In reverse order, these are very important considerations.

    Wow!

This car is a real beauty! It will fit a husband, wife, son and daughter.

Isn't that the perfect Ferrari for a happy marriage? Why did someone question there can be conflict?
