Red TR i think, few hours ago, on Duffy Lane in Riverwoods. I was running down the other side of the street. What an energy boost!
What's this? Looks like a current F1 car. Is that a show car (sans engine)? Where is that? LFSC? Very interesting. Spotted this afternoon downtown: White RR convertible. IIRC that kind of car was the world's most expensive convertible, wasn't it?
This was at the Deerfield Firestone I was told: -F2000 chassis built for MS -Engine removed -Original steering wheel maintained Not really sure why it had slicks fitted
Spotted a blue Murcielago heading west on rt120 just past Wilson Rd. Sounded great but I wasn't quick enough to get a pic.
Spotted a Lotus Exige S at Chili's in Batavia tonight after dinner. Very cool little car! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Without any clue as to model year, would be difficult to know. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but in the early to mid 90s, wasn't the Aston Martin Virage Volante the most expensive convertible produced?
I dont think they made the Volante in Le Mans config. But a V600 Volante would probably be very expensive indeed. Gorgeous to look at. Not to fun to drive.
You're right. Here is a list of all 40 cars (entire run): http://v8vantage.com/Le%20Mans%20Vantage.htm I just heard this rumor that 2 cars were made in addition to original 40 for someone special (Brunei??).
So beautiful. I love the blue one and the Red one i saw it in Paris a few times. We test drove this one last week in NY. Owner is selling it for $375k and paid $800k. 1 of 2 in the USA. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't feel we have enough information in Andreas' query. Is he talking modern day, collectible or antique. Andreas, should we adjust for inflation? Currently, the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe' will cost you in the neighbourhood of $500K+, depending on options. A few years ago a friend bought a Daytona Spyder (not a chopped 365 GTB) for about $700K. And yes, the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport convertible probably makes the rest of modern convertibles look cheap! Sparky
I guess you can add the Maybach Landulet to the list of expensive convertibles. Probably 2nd in price behind the Grand Sport.
