Amazing how little, important details, such as this are often overlooked or underreported when making comparisons. It's one of the reasons that forthcoming performance tests of the 458 will vary, be not strictly comparable. This is the first time I've heard of an acceleration test with 2 persons in the car. Comparing reported weights, AMS puts the 458 at 3376lbs vs. 3195 of the 430 by Road & Track, a gain of 195lbs.
