mediocre turnout, still worth the 5hr drive after the visits to Lambo Chi and Continental Auto in Westmont. CA always seems like they have a bug up their ass, I brought a friend with that is interested in a used r8 or cheap f430 and the guy at CA wouldnt give us more than a passing comment. We had $30k cash to put down on something and the only car he was interested in was the 07(i believe) black f430 at CA for like $150k but we were talked to like there was no way we would ever be able to afford it...very unimpressed, but this has always been the story there for me. exact opposite down the road, always curtious and willing to help in any way

You had "$30k cash" with you; did you arrive with a Brink's truck? C'mon, you had $30k with you and Continental snubbed you, that's hard to believe! Sure it wasn't the karma that you and your friend exuded that made them ignore you? Maybe it was that fact that your friend was looking for a 'cheap 430' that made them question his ability to pay. I can't imagine anyone walking into a Ferrari dealership, and getting any respect for looking to buy a cheap Ferrari!
I guess so, if you could squeeze 300, $100.00 bills into a shoe box. Of course, some Illinois politicians figured out how to do it!
Everything in this post just seems wrong. Down the road where? Luxury Motors which is now out of business? Maybe I'm missing something. If you mean Continential AutoSports in Hinsdale, I've always been treated well the few times I've brought my Maserati in there for servicing.
I said a cheap f430, not a cheap car. We were well aware that a cheap f430 would still be upwards of 120. You certainly arent claiming that all people in the market for a Ferrari would be looking for a new one. And I should rephrase how much money we had with us, we had $10k in green cash, and a clean E46 Hamman m3 that he was going to trade in. (15-20k trade in auction price). but yes, $30k cash doesnt take up all that much room
