I am a huge fan of the series. Have them all on VHS and of course the DVD boxes.
I was 18 when the series started in 84.

Besides that I have ALL songs featured in the series.
If you miss a song, and want it, send me a mail at [email protected] and I will reply with the actual mp3.

I never got a testarossa though. Went for the 348 6 years ago and own already for 3 years a rossa F360 modena. I love it.

If a BB is a glorified 308, then a Lambo is nothing more than a glorified farm tractor. I would never call Lambos after the Miura art. Art is a Lusso, a P 3/4, a 250LM, a 250 GTO, 275 GTB, and yes a Boxer. But to each his own. Glad you are happy with your choice.

I remember years ago (17 or 18) seeing a black Lambo and a white TR on the freeway in Houston. They stopped at a parking lot and I stopped and stared. Wow, I decided then that that was the Ferrari I wanted. Since I was a young kid with slot cars I loved Ferrari's but this was my first up close and personal experience. Sorry, but I am a card carrying exotic car guy and I love them all. I still get the same feeling whenever I see a great car. Wow.

WOW! I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You just listed 5 of the ugliest exotic cars as art...

    Thanks.

I spent the 80's in Germany so I got to watch it in German. The voice they used for Crockett was the same one they used for Remington Steele, and Tubb's was the same they used for all the Eddie Murphy movies. So I did not even know what they sounded like until 1992.

And it is backwards there, instead of "Freeze, Miami Vice" it is "Miami Vice, keine Bewegung".

Tidbits no one in the world needed to know.

HUUUGE fan of Miami Vice!! Have the boxed set of DVDs that I watch with some frequency, especially in the summer for some reason. Had high hopes for the movie but was let down. What a great show, great cast, great cars.... awesome. I was in Miami afew years ago with my wife and a little drunk when a guy on a 10 speed approached me trying to sell some drugs. I just had to..... Freeze!!! Miami Vice!!! Scared the sh@t out of the guy, embarrassed my wife and got the guy hit by a car. I thought it was f@cking hysterical, still do!

I was thinking about looking for it on DVD. I have friends that taped every episode.

Personally though, I'm holding out for digital streaming. :)

    Dear Ferraristi,

I wrote this in the "starter Ferrari" 308/328 section but it also deserves to be in the Miami Vice Thread....

The length and originality of the posts in this thread really shows just how much impact MV had on everyone. Even if you didn't watch it....you were still affected in some way by those around you that DID watch it.

I find the whole..."mood".....of that show to be enthralling. It's still amazing after all these years. What a huge culteral impact MV had. I hope those people who worked on, and acted in....that show are proud of their work.

Like the TR is an automotive icon of the 80s.....Miami Vice is THE television icon....

    + 1,000,000. Well said Jeff.
Evidently the show still has an impact on me (The Ferrari I drive and the clothes I wear) ;)
