I was on Facebook (As usual) when I stumbled upon this local Car-spotting group.

While browsing through their photos, I couldn't help noticing the contributors asking "XXX?" or "XXXX?" (Number plate letters / numbers basically), as there's some rule I suspect where number plates have to be censored. Some are even able to share that "The owner also owns..." or "This car has been tweaked to 9 million horsepower".

To add on to that, there are some pictures which seem to be taken through the gates of the owner's landed property, with the gates visible in some pictures. While I am guilty of standing outside to look in on a number of occasions (I happened to stumble upon a rather nice Ferrari 308 just this morning), I've not gone to the extent of taking a picture. Some even reveal where the picture was taken.

As potential stalker-victims, do you reckon that this has gone a bit too far, from a mere record of a sighting of a rather lovely exotic, to a relentless, ruthless quest for too much information? I can safely say that nothing on that group will be about me, but even so, it has left a very bad taste in the mouth, with these 'kids' not respecting the owner's space and privacy.

    What's your say, exotic owners?

EDIT: They're now on to the age of owners. My word, this is terrible.

EDIT: They're abusing the LTA website now. Mostly to check genuine AMGs.

You talking about Singapore Exotic Car Spotter? What can we do about it? There's no way to stop them especially if we have gates that aren't one solid opaque piece. I got stalked before -_-"

Yea, I didn't want to post the group name, but it appears to be infamous already.

Are u sure they were after the 599 mate? :p

Ok, this is just unprofessional IMO. Admiring a car and taking pics of it is one thing, but giving out owner info and stuff is really disrespectful. Thank God I practice blackening out the plates whenever I personally take pics for my PERSONAL collection!!

Lung and MP are not posting because a few of you put up a challenge, stir **** and put them in a corner. Because of face, both of them agree to this challenge and are not posting now. Both of you are post whores ( you know that deep inside) and you do bring life to this thread. Buying dinner is a small matter for both brudders but none of you wants to LOSE. Those of you who suggested this bet should now call it off. This way no one will lose face and this thread can finally get a life. Lung and MP, come back and let's all get together for dinner at Mortons. Anyone who agrees to my suggestion speak up!!

I think I once posted this video to ask if this was feasible in our rainy climates, but I think quite a few knowledgeable fchatters told me it was a really bad idea here :(

I could paste a Lamborghini sticker on an Audi key for you if you want...

Well I've never seen a Lamborghini's key before, but it looked authentic.

But the valet offering a sit-in? I think that's really unprofessional.

My parents had their stuff stolen from their car after they allowed a valet to park it years ago. This was before we even had nice cars, I think it was just an ordinary Honda Accord. I think the moral of the story here is that you should park your own car and keep your keys.

A Lamborghini key is really just an Audi key with the Lambo logo on it...

Actually, Lung put up the challenge & Mp gladly took it up. We are just a bunch of hungry diners :D

I don't know about you guys but I do appreciate not having to sieve through dozens of pages to read something fresh. It's a case of too much we compliant & too little we compliant too.

Anyway, both of em are happily posting elsewhere.

P.S. how about those of us present that night pay for our own meat & let em treat each other? ^_^

Haha, me too. Couldn't digest it all either.

Cool. Incidentally, I saw an M coupe this afternoon & I was wondering about it's value.

    "Gossip column"

I have a hunch that someone blew a trumpet.

Yep, we saw this before. Awesome but our wet weather will make that underground lot like an aquarium!
