Does anyone know who makes this thing and is it still available? I was giving some thought, might be nice to be able to see the engine. Any help would be great, thanks.

    Thanks!!

As I said, I was giving it some thought. Perhaps if others chime in, and let us know how you like it. I am right in the middle, not 100% sure yet. Thoughts anyone?

I've been considering it myself for sometime, that pic you posted makes me closer to pulling the trigger, go for it.

Is it bolt on and easily reversible?

Bolts on in 1/2 hour, fully reversible. They are carbon fiber with tempered glass. We build to order, have done in paint to match car. Not real hi gloss gel-coat like you see on some aftermarket hoods. More like carbon race car part finish.

I have seen it in person on a blue TR and I liked it

As long as it is reversible I would try it :)

If thats the case I guess all of the 430's are in trouble.

One of my clients bought one recently. It takes 5mins to install, although the LED brake light did immediately blow the brake light fuse. When we got ours Norwood only had 2 or 3 more left and he's not intending to produce any more.
We also did a custom exhaust, working on a machine turned stainless steel heat shield under the air intake, and will be powder coating or polishing the upper manifolds and adding custom wheels. In my opinion it only looks good if you do other aftermarket modifications to balance the look in my opinion. I think it looks awkward by it's self.

I put one on mine and like the look much better than the bright red "Chicklet" in the middle of the hatch. The CF piece helps with that.

I have always liked the low profile black hatch on the 512TR better.

I had James do mine in red and I think it looks great! Having a great looking engine and not being able to see it from the outside is a crime. :)

    Red instead of raw carbon?

Yep, not much of a carbon guy. I do have the carbon blades on my Audi R8 though.

The reason the 430 and the 360 looks so good with it is all the "goodies" underneath. You really should polish up the intakes, add more red, or CF parts to make the engine stand out. By itself, although it's a decent look, doesn't have the same effect as the 360/430. The window is also too small compared with the size of the rest of the cover.

Then again, if it's an easy bolt on/off and it floats your boat, then do it.

Certainly a matter of opinion but powdercoating intakes and details do help alot but
it still looks very nice on a clean stock engine.

Since it's not irreversible, I think it's quite a nice looking thing.

Powercoating ... underneath is somewhere irreversible.

Transcending what does exist is enough IMO.
