I wanted to invite my fellow Ferraristi on two trips that I'm running this summer, with the highlight being the July 23-25th trip traversing The Cascade Volcano Route with the bonus of driving the Maryhill Loops Road
    http://www.maryhillmuseum.org/loops.html
The Maryhill Loops Road is Washington State's oldest road and was recently re-paved. I pre-drove it this last week and the new surface is fantastic (see photos).

We'll take the back roads from Seattle down to The Columbia Gorge and stay for two nights. Saturday morning we'll visit the pagans at the Stonehenge site before driving The MaryHill Loops Road. After Lunch we'll have an optional trip to Timberline or visit one of the local wineries (Syncline, Maryhill, Cathedral Ridge, Pheasant Valley, etc) before our group dinner. Prices are:
    - $129 per night for hotel
    - $50 for trip events ($65 after June 30th) which include:
    1) Friday wine party on arrival
    2) Fri & Sat night shuttles to downtown
    3) Saturday Morning drive on The Maryhill Loops Road
    4) Saturday Night group dinner

Space is limited and filling fast with over 42 people having signed up and 30 paid so far. When these are gone the event will be sold out and sign ups will be closed. Please consider joining us.

Note: This is not an FCA event and is not associated with the FCA in any way shape or form. Both trips this summer were offered to the NWR-FCA Board of Directors complete with required budget submittals but response was not affirmative.

    Scott -

Great photos - things have changed a little since we were last there - in particular, the wind turbines . . . .

We just got a room, but they REALLY are going fast. I have posted a couple of photos in the 206/246 section of FCHAT of the last time that we were in the area and on the Maryhill Loops Road.

The trip now has 64 attendees and has now gone into overflow at the Host's second hotel. This is peak season when space is limited, please don't wait until the last minute to sign up.

Why not come along in the BMW or daily driver? It doesn't really matter what you drive, just have fun! Plus, the weather is starting to get very nice.
    Here's a video of last month's scouting trip :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm2A6-bZlAc
While this is standard quality, the Maryhill museum has just contacted me about a video crew that will be along on the event to capture footage in HD.

    Strike that!

Things have changed and we have found additional space in the overflow hotel so there is still space for a few more, but this is peak season so I wouldn't wait too long.

are now on board for HD videoing the event on the ground and a helicopter rental is confirmed for airborne shots. They are also requesting to ride along with drivers who would permit them to video in-car shots, please contact me offline if you'd agree to let them ride with you.

With 84 signed up, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest driving events this summer!

Thanks Scott for putting on a great event. I met a lot of wonderful people on this trip and look forward to traveling with them on other drives. And a great big thank you to those that took one for the team. I think it helped me get back to Seattle in under 4 hours, while you had the LEO's otherwise occupied.
